Autumn Village

I bought this autumn village about ten years ago at Walmart.

I probably wouldn't have bought it, but when I saw the barn I had to buy it because of the name on it. My maiden name is Drake!

I didn't grow up on a farm, but I did spend a lot of time at my grandparent's farm.

The water mill is also a neat piece.

The house has people inside in front of the window.

Maybe the house below is the bunkhouse where the farm hands live.

Most of the little people also came with the village.

Happy fall, ya'll!

God Bless.

Oh Katherine, this is just gorgeous. I havn't seen an Autumn village before, just the ones they do for Christmas. All of the buildings are just wonderful. Love the barn and the water wheel mill, all the little people are just wonderful. What a treat. Hugs, Marty

Katherine, that is precious! I haven't seen an autumn "scene" before either...we usually only see theselittle villages set for Christmas, but this is really sweet...I would love to find one here. This is the kind of autumn decorating I would love to do, as I love these little buildings...the water mill is just too adorable! Amazing that it had "your" name on it...it was meant for you to have and enjoy!

God bless,
Mary

Omg, I was looking all over the internet to find the company that made this because I bought the other village sold at Wal-Mart 10 years ago! Mine has different buildings, same people and leaves though! Its truly almost one of a kind, as nothing like it can be found anywhere today online. Do you remember the name of the company that made it? I might actually set up a blog and throw some pics up, as I'm less than a month from putting it back up for the fall season.
