Sunny Autumn

We are having beautiful sunny fall weather here in FL and enjoying it a lot! I have several fall tablescapes to do, but I'm behind because of medical issues.  Those of you not on my Facebook don't know I had to have a heart catherization last week.  They found two blockages and I'm trying to adjust to the meds I'm taking.  In the meantime, I'm trying to get back to normal with creating and decorating that I love so much!

The inspiration for this tablescape came from these placemats:
These beautiful sunflowers placemats are from Dollar Tree!  They
are so colorful and I knew immediately I wanted to do a tablescape with them!

I decided to use these clear dinner and salad plates so the placemat pattern would show through.

like this:

I added the bright yellow napkins and bright handled flatware.

The flatware and the napkins came from Home Goods a few months ago.

The centerpiece is a wire basket filled with silk sunflowers:

The tea glasses match the dishes:

This is a very cheerful tablescape and we are enjoying seeing it daily!

Have a seat and join us!

I hope you enjoying seeing a sunny and bright fall tablescape!

Purple Fall Challenge

I always enjoy joining Cuisine Kathleen's monthly challenges. This month she challenged us to
do a fall tablescape using PURPLE and NO orange!

I have the ruffled purple plates purchased from Walmart a few years ago, but that's the only thing purple I had!  I decided to pair them with lime green since I have the pretty petal shaped green salad plates. These were from Marshall's several years ago.

I wrapped flocked faux fall leaves around green napkins:
and added green glasses and clear flatware:

I had to buy some purple silk flowers. These were 50% off at Michael's:

The purple berries were in the Halloween aisle at Dollar Tree:

I also tucked some of the faux fall leaves among the flowers and berries

There you have it! No orange!

The red on the faux leaves are really a wine color (not this bright.)

Purple and green tablescape!

I wish the purple color of the plates showed up the true purple!

 Here's a place for you!

I'm happy the faux flowers show their true purple color!
