Table Top Tuesday

I'm joining Marty's Table Top Tuesday and sharing some of my Christmas decor. Thanks to Marty for hosting, click on her name for lots more inspiration.
I'm enjoying this Hobby Lobby Lantern so much and decorating it with each season. Christmas decor is so pretty and we can get away with "going over the top!"

Our granddaughter, Elisabeth, is coming to visit on Dec. 17th and I'm decorating with her in mind this year. Our family room features Santas and Snowmen.
I have a new item added to the top of the TV armoire in the family room:
I was so happy to find this large Snowman hat at Hobby Lobby last fall!
Doesn't it look cute with the Santa and elves vignette!
I left the tag on this Santa because it was only $3.99, a Hallmark offer if you bought three Hallmark Christmas cards! Sold!
It is the Santa from The Polar Express movie, he has the little bell in his hand!

Another Hobby Lobby purchase, doesn't it look pretty with the Thomas Kinkade plate!
I decided to leave the Jim Shores Nutcracker on the end table in the living room with the added plate and dove.

I always enjoy decorating the top of the china cabinet. It's about the same each year, but I do add a few new items. This year it's the white musical rocking horse.
I found the musical rocking horse at TJ Maxx last year. It's so pretty!

The large Santa plate is also from Hobby Lobby! What would we do without Hobby Lobby!!

The vintage look Christmas village is in the breakfast nook this year on the gate leg table:

This is something Elisabeth can play with when she is here.

Another display I did for Elisabeth is the Tea Room scene on the tea cart in the dining room:
The "Mistletoe Tea Room" was from Walmart several years ago. I've added a few pieces from here and there each year:
I think Elisabeth will enjoy this too!

I didn't put up the tea time tree this year, just the tea room vignette.
I'm also joining Kathy at A Delightsome Life and Kim's Wow Us Wednesday, click on their names to go there.

Soon I will share my Nativity collection, I've counted 25 so far. Please come back to see!

Merry Christmas!
Katherine

Wow, you've been very busy! It all looks lovely and the Mistletoe Tea Room is just wonderful! I see you even had snow in Fla.! Or maybe just in your house?
You did a great job, K!

This is a message I received from my friend Janet, I want it posted here and since she couldn't post it, I will!

From Janet:
I just wrote a long comment about your Christmas display on your blog and I lost it. Sigh. I couldn’t sign into Google. So I will write it to you directly. If you would like to post it using my name on your blog. please do.

Those Nutcracker books are so well illustrated and gorgeous. I love the pages with the fairies, so magical. Your Christmas decorating is gorgeous. WOW. I adore your lantern, such a gorgeous piece and you decorated it so beautifully. All of the golden pieces in front of your mirror are stunning. I have never seen a snowman hat but what a wonderful accessory, you did an amazing job with the Santa and snowman display. That stunning dove looks so perfect with the plate, what a great eye you have!! The top of your china cabinet is so pretty, I love your placement of the elegant gold reindeer. How sweet that Elisabeth can play with the little village set, she will love that. I adore the little display on your tea table. Love all of the people that you have added and especially the horse drawn carriages and also the little boy on the bike with the flowers in his basket. Well, actually love it all. LOL Janet.

Thanks, so much Janet!!

I think you are so right about the reason we love decorating for Christmas being that we can go over the top. Yours is wonderful looking! My favorite spot is the top of your china cabinet. I also love the Frosty hat. I have a snowman hat on my kitchen table this year, but it's not as perfect looking as yours. I wish I had one!

Everything looks so festive, Katherine! I think its wonderful that you have decorated at your DGD's level with things that she can enjoy. I try to do that, too. My stuff is up, just not photographed yet. We've had dreary, rainy days here without sunshine...hard to take pictures.

I think my cookie treats would taste just as good without the nuts. I don't even taste them in there, honestly. I hope you try them...they are wickedly good & you'd never know they were graham cracker based!

Stay well wishes & Hugs,
Rett
