Christmas Decor

I have been busy decorating. I'm just about finished, don't think I've been finished this early ever before!

I have a collection of Nativities and I like to display them differently every Christmas. This is my favorite this year, using pink roses and the tall lantern I bought at Hobby Lobby last year.

This display is on the small curio cabinet in the dining room.

I also used another favorite Nativity at the other end. My husband brought me this Fontanini Nativity from Italy about ten years ago. It looks beautiful with the pink roses.

Believe it or not, this is already the second location for this vignette. I started out with it on the Bombay chest in the living room: It looked very pretty, especially with the roses on the lamp, but it can be enjoyed more in the dining room where I moved it to. Here are a few pictures of it on the Bombay chest:

Okay, back to the dining room on the curio cabinet:

Which is your favorite place?

I have lots more decorations to share with you. I'm excited about Christmas as most of our family will be here with us for a few days!  I've enjoyed decorating the house for them!

I'm linking to Marty's Table Top Tuesday and to Rhoda's Vignette party, thanks for hosting, ladies!! Click on their names for lots more inspiration.

Merry Christmas!

Family Room Fall Decor

I neglected to add this vignette to the family room fall decor I recently posted.
This vignette features a little stuffed scarecrow girl beside a vase made of cord.
We went on a two-week vacation and I haven't added the remainder of my fall decorations, including all the pumpkins (wicker, mercury glass, etc.) I'll do that soon. We aren't having anyone come for Thanksgiving so I haven't been in a hurry to decorate more.
The faux Chinese lanterns came from Michael's. They are so realistic, I just love them!

This end table is at the end of the sofa in the family room.
A couple of long shots across the family room with the above vignette in the background:

Fall Decor

We have just returned from two weeks in the mountains. It's been a long time since we have seen the fall foliage and we enjoyed God's beauty so much! We had to cut our trip short two days due to the storms moving in. We enjoyed seeing family and friends on our trip too!

I had planned to post some of my fall decor, here in our home, before we left, but didn't get it done.
This is our family room. I'm enjoying the velvet pumpkins I found this year!

I added yellow sunflowers to the terrarium that usually stays on the coffee table, The flowers change with the seasons.

These figurines are usually inside, except at Christmas when a Nativity is used.

I displayed some of my scarecrow collection on top of the TV armoire:

I have removed the few cute Halloween things in the living room and the cute Halloween tablescape in the dining room and will decorate those two rooms for fall this weekend.

Happy Fall!

Cute Halloween Tablescape

I wasn't planning to do a Halloween tablescape until I found these cute Halloween plates, and then found the black tablecloth for only $5.99!

I found the plates at Home Goods, there's two witch hats and two cats, all four were $9.99:

Aren't they just too cute!

The centerpiece is a ceramic chip and dip dish I found at Cracker Barrel a couple of years ago:
I found this cute candy dish at Home Goods last year:

The black shoe on the right was from Hobby Lobby a few years ago.

The napkins (hand towels) came from Dollar Tree last year:

Here are the rest of my Halloween decorations:

This purple Jack-o-lantern has flashing LED lights inside. It will be given to our granddaughter since she loves purple!

I only like cute Halloween decorations, no scary ones here!

I hope you enjoyed my Halloween tablescape. I'm joining Cuisine Kathleen's Let's Dish, and Susan's Thursday Tablescapes. Thanks for hosting ladies! Click on their names for lots more inspiration.
