Tablescape Thursday

Time for Tablescape Thursday! Thanks to Susan for hosting so we can play with our dishes! Click on her name to go to her blog Between Naps on the Porch for much more inspiration.

This tablescape is very simple and inexpensive.

The felt leaf shaped placemats are from Dollar Tree, they were the inspiration for this tablescape.

I chose to use the clear dinner plates so the leaf placemat would show through.
The clear plates are also from Dollar Tree.

I'm not using a tablecloth. I like the wood background under the placemats.
I love oak furniture because of the pretty wood grain in it.
It also doesn't show dust as much as dark furniture!

The Centerpiece:

To keep with the clear glass plates I'm using a pretty glass bowl I've had for many years.
It is filled with silk fall flowers and leaves.

The napkins are from TJ Maxx, so are the goblets. The pumpkin napkin rings from Hobby Lobby and the flatware from Tuesday Morning.

I have four different colors of the placemats.

A red-orange

A maroon

Orange

And rust.

I'm really enjoying the green goblets and I did find four more (at Marshall's) I went back to Dollar Tree to buy more placemats so I could use more of the glasses, but they didn't have anymore of the placemats :-(

Table Top Tuesday

For today's Table Top Tuesday I'm sharing a few fall decorations added to vignettes in our family room. This is the top of our TV armoire in the family room.

I've added sunflowers to the travel vignette on top of the armoire.
The high window on the left causes a lot of light that interferes with photographing.

I also added sunflowers in the terrarium that is on the coffee table in the family room.
The glass figurines are playing musical instruments at a Harvest Hoedown!

The wire container on the left now holds large acorns and pinecones.

I'm also displaying some of my scarecrow collection in the family room.

I tucked some of the small scarecrows into the CD holder that sits beside the armoire.



The silly looking skinny scarecrow is on the opposite side of the armoire. He sits on a little green stool.

This pumpkin vignette isn't exactly a tabletop, they are on the floor beside the curio cabinet in the dining room.

Victoria - A Return to Loveliness

I was excited to find this beautiful Victoria Classics Holiday Bliss magazine at the grocery store this past weekend.

The first section has fall and Thanksgiving pictures, I think most of them are from past classic Victoria magazines. I wish they would say which month and year they are from.

Beautifully decorated mantels:

I highly recommend this magazine, even though it cost $7.99 (kills me to pay what they are charging for magazines these days!!)
