Let's Dish Challenge!

I love to take Cuisine Kathleen's monthly challenges, but thought this month's might be too difficult with a copycat picture challenge.  I started looking on Pinterest and came up with this one:

Borrowed from Claudine Barnett C.B.I.D. Home Decor and Design at yournestdesign.blogspot.com I have a large candlestick like hers, a large mirror, a Nativity collection, and a similar cloche so I went from there. It took me a long time to find her actual post since if was done in 2010, but here's the link:

I started with a large gilded mirror

then added the Nativity under the cloche:
then the candlesticks and glass star ornament:

I had planned to use Christmas plates as I have four different sets of Christmas plates, but none of them really worked, so I stuck with a gold tablescape.

I've had the gold damask tablecloth and switched it with the original burgundy cloth I started out with.

I used the butterscotch dishes purchased from Marshall's a few years ago, and the flatware from Tuesday Morning

The napkins are from Walmart a couple years ago, and the napkin rings from Ross:

I decided to use faux holly to give a pop of color, also added a small sprig to the centerpiece.

Amber etched stems were also perfect with the color scheme:

I lit the candles of my centerpiece:

Now it looks a little more like the one on Pinterest:

I hope I met the challenge!

Thanks to Cuisine Kathleen for hosting, click on her name to see other challenges!  I'm also linking to Susan's Tablescape Thursday, click on her name for lots more inspiration.

 Merry Christmas!

You did a wonderful job, Katherine. Your table looks so serene and calm with the soft colors. I love the cloche with the nativity scene, and with the candles lit, the ambience is so inviting.

Your centerpiece was very lovely and would fit into any table. While this test was fun it was a real challenge. Have a great Holiday.

Bravo Katherine...you met the challenge beautifully! I just love all your pretty soft buttery shades of yellow & gold.
Thanks for the link to Claudine Barnett's website...she is new to me.

I hope you're having a lovely holiday season down there in the warmth & sunshine. I just shoveled about 5" of snow from our walk & driveway. The HOA is supposed to have people come do that, but they are no where to be seen this morning. Grrrr! I figured it was good exercise for me.

Hugs,
Rett
