I'm joining
Cuisine Kathleen's Let's Dish, and
Susan's Tablescape Thursday, click on their names for lots more fun.
Inspiration for this tablescape started here:
I found this pretty mercury glass pumpkin at Home Goods a couple months ago.
I bought this owl at TJ Maxx sometime this past year, but never used him.
I've never used these napkins before either, I think I found them at TJ Maxx some time ago
They have the same shade of blue in them. I'm not sure what color this blue is named, is it Tiffany blue, or robin's egg blue? It's a popular color now.
I was surprised the tablescape came together so easily using things I already had.The rust colored tablecloth works great with the napkins. I wasn't sure what color plates would work, but these purple plates from Walmart (a few years ago) look really good!
I bought the woven looking chargers from Old Time Pottery last year, I had planned to paint them white and am glad I didn't yet as they look nice this color!
The blue owl and pumpkin look great with the orange mercury glass pumpkin I have had for several years.
A nice trio!
The flatware is from Tuesday Morning (several years ago.)
The centerpiece:
Faux fall leaves and berries are intertwined around the pumpkins.
The unique colors all work together!
There are four different pumpkins on the napkin rings:
I found the napkin rings at Hobby Lobby a few years ago.
This fall tablescape could last until Thanksgiving with an addition of turkeys or a cornucopia as the centerpiece.
We are having family here this Thanksgiving, so there will be lots of people around the table, maybe adding a few more extension leaves, and my grandson will probably make place cards for everybody.
So much food will be on the table that there's no room for a centerpiece!
I'm looking forward to having the family here!
I don't mind all the work of preparing Thanksgiving dinner because my husband helps and does as much or more than I do!
And my daughters help a lot, everybody pitches in to help! It's lots of fun, enjoyed by all!
Happy Thanksgiving!
