Time for Tablescape Thursday with Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Click on her name for more inspiration. Thanks for hosting, Susan!
Above is the inspiration for my tablescape today. I found these Vera napkins on sale recently.
I would have never paid $6.99 each for them, but they were half priced, then an extra 15% off on Seniors Day.
They each are signed with her name and little lady bug. I like her big splashy painting style!
This is another simple, inexpensive tablescape that was going to be easy, but I did run into some difficulty!
I didn't get started on it until after 2 p.m., therefore the sun and lighting wasn't as good.
The dark greens don't show up as true. I wanted to use these green chargers (from Target) but they show up much darker than they are.
I tried using the white lace tablecloth (used last week) but it was a little blah. The green one is better (in real life!)
The centerpiece:
I had a pretty crystal bowl I had planned to use, but it was on the highest shelf in the kitchen cabinets, and I've been given strict orders not to climb onto high things (something I've always done!) I had to use this little cake plate with a smaller dish on it.Enjoy your Christmas preparations!
God Bless.
Katherine

My Mother had gold glasses like that. I know they made blue ones and would love to find some..I keep an eye out whenever I am in an antique shop.
Very pretty table.

I love your holly jolly table, Katherine! It is so beautiful. The napkins are wonderful. I have those glasses in blue, clear and amber but haven't been lucky enough to find the coveted green at any thrift stores. I love them for lemonade. Are your charger plates a dark green or is it my imagination?
Love those pretty napkins! They look great with the green tablecloth. What a pretty centerpiece to match. I love holly so this table suits me to a tea!
I love that Vera is having a renaissance of her wonderful designs. Your tablescape is delightful. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
