Tablescape Thursday

I'm doing an encore tablescape from last year. I used some of my small collection of Halloween things as the centerpiece. You saw some of these in Tuesday's Table Top, now you can see how it looks as a centerpiece.

This Halloween themed tablescape is for this week's Tablescape Thursday! Thanks to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting each week. Go here for lots more inspiration.

Inspiration for this tablescape started with this cute purple polka dotted black cat:

I used purple fabric for the table cover. The little green stool was a dollar at Target a few months ago. Some of this vignette was displayed on a curio cabinet in the dining room. I decided to use it for this tablescape. I didn't have to buy a thing for this TT, everything was already here!

Kooky colors can be used together for Halloween, right? I used the black chargers, with green petal dessert plates, then the square pumpkin colored plates on top (they never photograph true in color, they are more orange than yellow.)
In keeping with the kooky colors the orange and black gingham napkins again add that element of surprise!
The centerpiece:
"Jack"

The Jack-o-lantern is made of paper mache, I've had it many years. The "Boo" was purchased from Cracker Barrel a year (or two) ago. The cat and witch's boot is from Hobby Lobby, about two years ago. The Mary Englebreit print was in her magazine a few years ago, I framed it for safe keeping. The big candy corn pieces are glass, I bought those several years ago too.

The little candy corn cups are from Walgreen's. They are filled with real candy corn! My Creative Memories group enjoyed those last night at our workshop here!

I tried the flash and no flash trying to get true colors of the purple and the pumpkin colors.
Different angles:

I hope you enjoyed my kooky Halloween tablescape!
Trick or Treat!!

I actually had another tablescape to share today, but decided to do this Halloween one instead since Halloween is this weekend. I hope you enjoyed it!

Have a happy Halloween!

God Bless.

Katherine

Hi Katherine! Yes, kooky colors are perfect for Halloween and your table is bright and cheery-the way I like Halloween. I think my favorites are the paper mache jack o lantern and the little boo sign! I need that! You had a great idea to cut out and frame the holiday print--I'm going to try that too. Happy Halloween. I definitely think you can use all kinds of kooky colors on Halloween, especially on a table like yours with the neat whimisical figurines. It looks like a page out of a children's picture book! I love that paper mache pumpkin too!

I like the quirky look of this, the purple table cover is just right and the checked napkins...I'm glad you shared this one because it is fits in just fine for the holiday...What are you working one for CM. My Army page won another blue ribbon at state.
Lately, I've been trying to do some more of my ancestor pages plus the one of my maternal grandparents. One of these days, I'll have to put all the pages in the albums.
