Guest Room

I'm featuring our guest room today and it qualifies for several fun memes. Since it is done in mostly yellows I'm participating in Mellow Yellow Monday, go there for lots more yellow! I'm also linking to Karen's Nittany Inspirations Bedscapes and Beyond, go there for many pretty bedscapes!

Since a tea set is on the bed tray it will be on Tea Party Tuesday, go there to see lots more tea things!
Lady Katherine has also invited me to link to her Tea Time Tuesday. Go there for lovely inspiration.

I have recently changed some of the colors in the guest room, therefore I'm linking to Susan's Metamorphis Monday, go there for many transformations.
The new color introduced in the guest room is blue, so I can add to Sally's Blue Monday. Go there to see lots of blues! Since I have two tabletops and the bed tray, I'm also linking to Marty's Tabletops Tuesday, go there Tuesday for lots of inspiration as well!

First I will show you the guest room done in a yellow rose theme.

The quilt at the foot of the bed has lots of yellow roses on it.

A yellow rose tea set is on the bed tray.

Yellow roses on the lampshade:

3-D yellow roses on the lamp base:

Yellow china with pink roses are on the dresser:

Yellow roses on the little rocking chair:
Pillows with yellow roses:
Carved yellow roses:
I really enjoy the yellow rose theme in our guest room!

Some of you have inspired me with your new blue and white accents in your rooms. I have decided to bring a new color scheme into the guest bedroom. I'm adding the few blue and white accents I have in with the yellow!

I changed the quilt to one my grandmother made and it has a lot of blue in it.

The bed tray holds a blue and white tea set!

I love the unusual shape of this tea pot.

The tea pot was under $9 at Ross, the tea cup $3.99 at Home Goods
and the candle votive from Dollar Tree.

The dresser also has a blue and white purse vase, a tea pot, and salt shakers.

The lamp table has a pretty blue and white shoe filled with yellow roses.

My husband's parents wedding picture.

Clothes tree displays gown and vintage purses.

Doll and vintage look carriage

View toward the foot of the bed:

Antique trunk at foot of bed:

So which do you like best? The quilt with the blue, or the yellow roses? The yellow rose theme, or the accents with the blue and white?

Thanks for visiting, I hope you enjoyed seeing our guest room!

God Bless.

Katherine

Really am fond of yellow - so I love your rooms- not sure which i like the best- the white crocheted cover is very pretty and delicate looking. Like the touches with the doll carriage and the beautiful chair you added. Also- I like that your antique furniture appears to be close to its original state (not painted over). nicely done.
