Violets Tea Set

This violets tea pot with matching creamer and sugar bowl were given to me when I was a teenager by my Aunt Catherine. The name of it is Spring Violets by Rossetti, made in occupied Japan. I was thrilled to get it then and have almost always had it displayed in my house somewhere. It is now displayed in the breakfast nook. I have enjoyed using it for tea parties as well. Aunt Catherine used to give me a lot of nice things and I treasure all of them. I've told her I think she has the gift of giving because she enjoys giving gifts even more than receiving them! Aunt Catherine is now 80 years old and very chipper even after two hip replacement surgeries.

The little sugar tongs were also a gift to me from one of my tea guests.
