Tablescape Thursday

Thanks to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting Tablescape Thursday so we can enjoy sharing our tablescapes and seeing many others! Go here for lots more inspiration!
My inspiration for this tablescape came from this cute little hen.
A couple months ago I saw her at Home Goods, but did not buy her. Last week we were at Home Goods again and there she was for under $10, so home she came with me!

Lately chickens and roosters have been invading my house, with seeing all of your "yard foul" I have fallen in love with them again! I had a collection back in the 70s, but gave them away.

It helped that "Henrietta Hen" was a pale yellow and fits right in with the yellows in our home.
I found these pretty check napkins on sale for $1 each recently and knew they would match my butterscotch china (from T.J. Maxx) I tied them with raffia and placed some raffia in the centerpiece flowers.
The flatware is from Home Goods last year.

I used our everyday glasses to go with the more casual look.

To ground the centerpiece I placed it on top of a small wooden tray, turned upside down.

The blue flowers are the ones I also used in my 4th of July red, white and blue tablescape.
This tablescape was mostly created with things I already had, very inexpensive! I hope you like it!

Have a happy day!

God's Blessings to you!

Katherine

P.S. - Henrietta wants to come to the rooster party! Should she be allowed? She's looking for a date with handsome rooster so she can go!

And I love what you made with the hen! That cornflowers and raffia are gorgeous to the pretty hen. Thank you so much for sharing this welcoming table.

Your table is full of cheerfulness. I like the way you tossed the flowers around Henrietta for the centerpiece and the use of raffia to tie the napkins. Nice job! ~ Sarah

Your new hen was the perfect inspiration for a darling table. Is you flatware Argent Sophia Gold? There's a current eBay auction for 1 - 3 sets of 4 right now. I have the same pattern, and it's fun to use. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay

What a great scape. Love the casualiness and finish look you have created. Just a reminder, glass ware always goes on the left side of the plate. Keep up the great work...michelle

Hi Katherine...

My friend, your Ms. Henrietta Hen is just adorable! She certainly makes for a stylish table centerpiece as well! The first thing I thought when laying eyes upon your beautiful table was...French Country at its finest! I love it! Ohhh...and I just adore your beautiful butterscotch dishes...they're lovely! I have been looking for some just like that...a soft buttery yellow color! Love how you placed the beautiful blue flowers around Henrietta and how they pick up that same beautiful blue in the napkins! Wow...what a great deal you got on those pretty plaid napkins!!! They really give your table such pretty color, my friend!!!

Well, I'm trying to play catch up with my blogs since being out for two weeks...I don't think I'll ever really catch up! Hehe! But I did visit your pretty black and white polka dot table vignette! It's beautiful!!! I love your "fleur de lis" cup and saucer holder...gorgeous!!! Love all of those pretty polka dotted dishes and ohhh...that teapot!!! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous vignette and table with us, my friend!

I also wanted to thank you for coming by and taking a peek at my Tea Rose bedroom! I always enjoy your visits and sweet notes...thank you, Katherine!!!

Warmest wishes,
