ChristmasTreasures

I'm participating in Cielo's Roses in the Garden World of Treasures. Go here for lots more.

I wanted to post my Nativity collection as my treasures, but I'm not finished with them yet, so I am sharing some ornaments on our traditional Christmas tree. Some of these are from the 70s, and a few of them are new. Some are from trips we've taken. This angel is new, I found her this year at TJ Maxx. I may even keep her up all year since she isn't real Christmasy looking!

This little choo-choo is from the 70s, below is a little car that matches it.

I like the silver Santa head, especially his beard!

A little red glitter bird, and Hershey bar. To the right is a bead and sequin ornament my mother and I made together back in the 70s.
The little White Westie dog is for our little dog, Dody, who died almost two years ago.

A partridge bird, and a pear are side by side. The little doll is from the 70s.

Above, the lighthouse is from a trip to Hilton Head. The church is from Jekyll Island.

Trolley car from San Francisco. Top left, tiny mouse in a nut shell, from the 70s.

The blue ornament says: "The Love of Christ be with our Troops"

We have one big (7 ft) Christmas tree and seven small trees with collections. I have already featured my snowman tree and tea time tree, and will soon post my Santa tree, Nativity tree, Angel tree, teddybear tree, and Victorian tree. I hope you will return throughout the week to see all of them!

My mother gave me the tiny dolls, the faux candy is from the 70s. The deer was from Pier 1 a few years ago.
Another tiny doll.

The pretty Santa was from Michael's a few years ago.

This pretty angel was a dollar at a dollar store several years ago. She has a faux emerald and a tag on it that says May (for my birthday)

James Dean, this was purchased in Indiana (where James Dean was from) The Scooby Doo is for my husband, who loves him!

I love Nutcrackers, and have a lot of small ones on the tree.

These are just a few special ornaments on our Traditional Tree, I hope you enjoyed seeing them!
I just realized I didn't take a long shot of the tree, I'll do that another time.

I hope you are enjoying preparing your celebration for our Lord Jesus' birthday!

I do love the pier one's reindeer!!!

Ps....yes, that looks very similar to the edition I have. I clicked on the back cover and such from the amazon link and the art work looks the same.

You have so many wonderful ornaments. Thank you for sharing.
I think the link on Spiritual Sundays is leading people to this post which is good but they may be missing the one on your other blog. I just read it and it is great.
Hugs,
Charlotte

very pretty. I don't do a tree with memory ornaments anymore. I gave the kids theirs. I still have some, but just don't put them up. I would have to do another tree and I don't have a place to put one! Your May angel is precious. I don't remember ever seeing anything that cute at the Dollar tree!

It is so much fun seeing other's ornaments and the meaning behind them.

I enjoyed seeing your ornament treasures. Your house is a Christmas delight.

I am still a refugee at my sister's house 50 miles from home. The ice storm Thursday night left my area without power. I long to get back to decorating...Christmas is almost here.
