Tea Blog-a-thon Week 2

Week Two of La-Tea-Dah's Tea Blog-a-Thon, go there for lots more fun. This week is Litera-Tea, we are to share our favorite tea books, poems, quotes, etc.

Just like with my tea cups, I can't seem to choose one favorite of my tea books. Above are a few of my tea book collection. I have a wish list at Amazon.com for many more tea books I want!

I have enjoyed reading these books above, and reading recipes used at many of the inns. Taking Tea at the Savoy is very interesting as well.

Victoria's The Charms of Tea and The Pleasures of Tea are beautiful books, just as their magazines.
Two lovely books. I hope to type up one of the long poems in the Tea For Two book. I also have started a collection of children's tea books. I will share those sometime too.

More fun and pretty books. I also have a lot of tea cookbooks I will share some day.

My children often give me tea books from the wish list I have.
Sandy Clough's Tea books could very well be my favorites. She is such a beautiful artist, and person. We used to attend the same church. She has autographed my books.

Tricia Foley's book, below is a very lovely book with different themes for tea parties.
The photography in Tricia Foley's book is beautiful! I think everyone has Emilie Barnes books, this is where I started, with one of her books, I think my first one was "If Teacups Could Talk." Great books, great info!

Okay, this is probably my favorite tea book! Tea With Patsy Clairmont. There's more to read than photos, but every morsel is wonderful! She shows a few pictures of her home with many
antiques and collectibles. I think I could move into her home and be comfortable, we like the same things! Here's a prayer from her book:

Dear Potter, We realize we have been jarred by life, causing brokenness. Some of us feel like shards of china insead of the exquisite and intriguing vessels that we want to be. We want to be pots that, when poured, tiped, dropped, or spilled, issue forth streams of life. Please, You who rework clay to repair damage, mend us. In Jesus' restorative name. Amen. (Patsy Clairmont)
I hope you enjoyed seeing my tea book collection.
Katherine

Great books. Some are out of print (original copyrights dating back to the early '90's and for some earlier) too bad too because they are so lovely. Thanks for sharing your collection with us!

What an amazing collection of tea themed books you have! More votes...

Thank you for adding the prayer, too. We may "feel" broken, but if we are in Him, we are beautiful vessels fit for His service.

I see we both enjoy Patsy! Do you have her book about her Victorian home? That is even more beautiful. I laughed so hard at myself because I was so excited about my 3 little tea books. After this week, I need to go to Barnes and Noble REAL bad!

We have so many of the same tea books but I still found some of yours that I'd like to order. The Art of Tea and Friendship just sounds right. I'm heading to Amazon now.

What a great collection! I have a bunch of these, but there are a few I don't have. I'll have to write down your titles and check them out. Aren't tea books so fun?!

Thank you for sharing all your wonderful books. The prayer by Past at the end is beautiful, I am so glad you chose to close with it. It is nice being a piece of chipped china being reworked in the hands of the Master Potter.

Hi Katherine,

I enjoyed seeing all your tea books. Wow, I didn't realize there were so many different books of this type. Thanks for sharing those.

Katherine,

I meant to ask you if you sent me the two tea cake cookie recipes that we talked about. You were to send them to my email address. If you sent those and I didn't recognize your email address then chances are I just deleted them without even opening the email. If you did send them then maybe you still have the emails in your "sent" mail. I hope so anyway.

Thanks, Katherine.
