My husband made this crown of thorns from the vine cut from our bouganvillia vine (growing on the arbor by our front door in the courtyard.
This vignette is on display every Easter, it is in a niche between the dining room and family room. If you look closely, you can also see a big flat nail on top of the old family bible. We were each given these nails at church a few Easters ago. It makes such a statement.

Katherine -
Happy Easter to you and yours. Thank you for stopping by my blog and for your friendship.

When we were in the ministry several years back, one of the churches had a crown of thorns out for Easter. I always appreciated that. I have a nail like yours that I hang on my Christmas tree. Never matters what the theme is, I always hang that nail as a remembrance. We had a wonderful time at church today celebrating He is Risen!
Hope you are having a blessed Easter!
Happy Easter to you and your family, Katherine. Your vignette is wonderful.

Katherine,
Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. I just realized my reply did not post. Sometimes I seem to have trouble.

It's great to read of your Easter decor traditions!
I love the crown of thorns your husband made. It's such a reminder of what the Lord did for us on the cross. I trust you had a wonderful Easter.
