Show and Tell - Crystal Sconces

Time for Kelli's Show and Tell http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ Today I'm sharing two of my favorite items in our house. These matching gold-leafed sconces have little crystal prisms on them. In keeping with the fall theme I have added faux fall leaves of brown and bronze with the tips touched with gold glitter. I call myself a budget decorator, very frugal, who decorates on a shoestring since I either buy everything on sale, or from garage sales, etc. These were a little bit of a splurge since I fell in love with them when I saw them at an antique store several years ago. My sweet husband gave them to me for our anniversary!
I have added more fall decorations to our home and share them with you below. We have found out we're having our whole family here with us for Thanksgiving, including both grandbabies! This has given me more incentive for decorating for fall. After Halloween I'll start adding turkeys and Thanksgiving items.

The sconces go well with your "chandy"! What a sweet husband you have.

Oh, that looks very pretty & elegant indeed! Last year, I looked for such little crystal prisms, too but since they were quite difficult to find (or rather expensive), I gave up in the end! I wish we had more of those antique shops or garage sales over here, too!

Have a great Friday!

My daughter and I are just blown away by your decor. It is amazing how American women decorate for the seasons. We don't do this to the same extent in Australia, except for Christmas. We love your things - and more so when you say you collect so frugally. You clearly have a great eye and know something really beautiful when you see it.

Blessings and bliss

You really do have an eye for beautiful things. The fall leaves are the perfect compliment to your sconces.

How wonderful that your family will be visiting for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because nothing is expected but spending time with family and being grateful. And lots of stuffing, of course. :)

Yellow Rose,

Thanks for commenting on my headvases. If you really like them, keep an eye out at garage sales and auctions. Sometimes you can pick them up very reasonably.

Warm Wishes,
Mary

Sorry that you missed my Show N Tell [I've been using a different header for Halloween so, it is EASY to miss]

And to answer your question, the "PINK" for 'next' week's category is the subject we have to find for the photo hunt, which is a Saturday Meme that if a LOT of fun.

The woman that is the leader for us, picks a subject for each Saturady, we have to go out and 'hunt' and take a photo of that certain subject. This week it was practical for the word, last week it was smelly next week it's anything pink. And so on and so on. Very fun.
