Show and Tell

I haven't participated in Kelli's Show and Tell since before our vacation a few weeks ago. Today I want to share my collection of village "houses" that I use in decorating our kitchen. My kitchen has a tea room theme where I use Victorian village houses.

Above are canisters by Lenox. I had fun trying to find all four of these about ten years ago. I found most of them on Ebay, it took a while to get all of them.

A friend gave me this cookie jar, we don't keep cookies in it. It sits next to my husband's coffee pot and he keeps coffee pot filters in it.

This bottle above sits next to the kitchen stove, I keep olive oil in it.

The tea caddy, above, was hand-painted by a friend, isn't it cute!

I have several Victorian house shaped tea pots, these are displayed on top of our kitchen cabinets. (Note: the colors aren't true, don't know what I did to my camera!)

I bought the Victorian house tea pot below at Cracker Barrel a few years ago.

The three house tea pots below are in the center of the top of our kitchen cabinets.

The pretty little blue tea pot above has "Tea House" on the little sign at the top.
Even though I don't have much blue in our house I had to have this one!

The little tea pot above isn't a Victorian house tea pot, but a cute little cottage, it's actually a tea light holder. A friend gave this to me, she has kitty cats, ad I always think of her when I look at it!

I also had to have this little tower house because it was yellow!

Which is your favorite? It's hard for me to choose a favorite, but I lean toward these canisters!

I seldom see Victorian house tea pots anymore, or other items. I've had this theme in our kitchen since we moved here over eight years ago. I still enjoy it and even though I like so many of the roosters being shown everywhere these days, I think I'll still keep my tea room theme!

Go here to Kelli's for lots more fun Show and Tell inspiration.

Have a happy day!
God Bless.

Show and Tell - Topiaries

For Show and Tell I'm sharing pictures of the topiaries at Epcot, Disney World. We enjoyed seeing them so much last Friday and hope you enjoy them as well. Go here to Kelli's for lots more Show and Tell fun!
Above is the Snow White topiary, behind her are the seven dwarfs.

I think this one is Cinderella

Beauty and the Beast

Belle, Beauty and the Beast, I've forgotten his name!
Do you remember it?

Mickey Mouse!

Mrs. Potts

Chip, the tea cup

The back of Mrs. Potts and Chip with The candlelabra

Lion King with Simba

I can't remember all these names either, can you?

The giraffe were beautiful. I'm not sure what vegetation they were made from
A close-up of the giraffe, the light color is some sort of grass.

Another view of the giraffe

I always enjoy going to the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot especially to see the topiaries.

Below is a view of some of the flower gardens, and the floating gardens in the water.

These Bambi topiaries were in the Canada country section

Cute ostriches!

The perfume bottles in the France country section. It was called a fragrant garden, and even
smelled lovely!

And in the Italy country section!
Lady and the Tramp

I hope you enjoyed seeing the topiaries,
which is your favorite?

This is my favorite!

Have a happy day!
God Bless.

P.S. - We are leaving soon for a two-week vacation, visiting our two-year-old grandchildren,
I'm not sure if I'll be able to post much while gone. Please visit my other posts below featuring more Disney photos, and a tablescape.

Tea Time

I have been celebrating my birthday almost all week. Yesterday my friends took me to a tea room for lunch. The beautiful swan above is a centerpiece at this tea room.

It is at the end of a banquet table in Shakespeare's Tea Room here in our town.

Instead of the afternoon tea that I usually get, we all enjoyed this spinach tomato quiche with a delicious salad with vidalia salad dressing, and celery leek soup.

This is what I had for dessert! It had one candle.

In the past two weeks I have gone to two different tea rooms, and attended one tea party! What more could one ask for to celebrate a birthday!

I forgot to take my camera to the tea party and didn't get any pictures, but will show you a few pictures of what I wore. I decorated this hat with red roses and ribbon.

Last year I won the hat contest so wasn't eligible to win this year, and I was one of the judges this year. You can check my May 08 archives to see that hat contest.

This is the purse I carried. I pinned a red velvet rose onto it.

This is the jacket I wore with a black shell and black pants.

I really regret not having my camera to document the fabulous array of tea sandwiches, etc. that we were served.

If you didn't see the other tea room I posted about last week, scroll down to see that tea room in Naples, FL.

Have a happy day!
God Bless.

I'm doing a double post on Tablescapes Thursday and Show and Tell. Go to Susan's Between Naps on the Porch for more tablescapes. Go to Kelli's There's No Place Like Home for lots more Show and Tell fun!

Show and Tell

Time for Kelli's Show and Tell, go here to see many more fun things!

I had planned to share my dining room table centerpiece today, but the battery on the camera died, and I didn't know how to change/charge it, etc. My husband wasn't here to do it for me.

I'm using this as the centerpiece on our dining room table now along with several other things. Yesterday I participated in Thursday Tablescapes and shared the breakfast nook bluebird tablescape. Scroll down to the next post to see all the bluebirds!

What would you call this "surround" above? I bought it in a tea room in Williamsburg, VA last year. They didn't know what to call it either, and wrote "crown" on the receipt! LOL! It is shaped like a crown, but it has a little birds nest on top. How and what would you use this to display? As the centerpiece on the dining room table I placed in on a cake plate with the large birds nest and two little bluebirds inside. I will post it tomorrow night, I won't be online until tomorrow night, my husband is having foot surgery tomorrow and I have to drive him home.

Have a happy day!
God Bless.

Show and Tell - Egg Cups

For Show and Tell today I'm sharing my egg cup collection. I found the cute little chicken pulling a flower cart last year at Hobby Lobby. He is winking at you!

The cute little floppy ear bunnies above and below are from Cracker Barrel, several years ago.
This unusual egg cup came from Cracker Barrel, I think last year.

How cute is this little egg, it's wearing duckie slippers!

I like this little purple polka dot chicken egg cup!

I've forgotten where the baby chicken and bunny egg cups came from, maybe Walmart.

For lots more fun, go here to Kelli's where sometimes 70 or more people participate!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my little egg cup collection, I now have enough for 8 place settings at our Easter table! Which is your favorite? Not sure I can pick a favorite, but....

....this one with the duckie slippers sure makes me laugh!

Have a happy day!
God Bless.
