Dody's Blue Jeans
For Friday's Show and Tell I'm featuring our little Westie dog, Dody in his blue jeans! Dody has been diagnosed with terminal kidney cancer and we were advised to put him down. He doesn't act like he is in any pain yet, he still runs and plays, and jumps, and eats well. Unless he shows he is in pain or any other problems, we will let him have a natural death. The little denim "blue jeans" are for when he has accidents. He is very good when we put them on him, it's as if he knows what they are for. For male dogs it is just a wide band with elastic and a velcro closure. Please pray for our little Dody!

Very cute! I will say a prayer for Dody! That is wonderful that he is doing well.
What a sweet picture of your little Dody and his blue jeans!!! I am sorry to hear that you will soon be losing him.
Oh, our Abby is so bad. She can hardly stand up to go outside, and just labors so in her breathing. She still doesn't seem to be in pain, but is not able to rest the way she wants. Hard to get comfortable to get in the air.
I think we will give her the weekend to spend some time with her, and probably take her in on Monday. We have never had to do this. I was so hoping to save my husband the heartache of the decision. I am hoping she will pass peacefully in her sleep. Thanks for your sweet thoughts.
I have read through your blog. I love scrapbooking, flowers (when I saw your bouganvilla I KNEW you were in Florida and sure enough!), our anniversary is in April (we only have one :). Seems we have a lot in common. I am even preparing to retire in 3 1/2 weeks. We'll have to stay in touch.
Thanks Trella, Kelli and Becky for your prayers for Dody. I'm praying for poor sweet Abby too.
Becky are you in Florida too? Yes, let's keep in touch!

I have two westie girls aged 13 and 15+ years old. They have odd accidents, the jeans are a great solution to save the little man any embarassment (they do know).
Very kind regards
Ann-Marie
Thank you Becca and Ann-Marie for your sweet comments. Ann-Marie, aren't Westies just the sweetest little dogs!
