This is a replica of The Bird Girl statue, it is outside The Book Gift Shop which has many items of this statue. The Bird Girl is licensed and copyrighted, and you must have those rights to create Bird Girl gifts. The Book Gift Shop has those rights locally. The shop carries unique items like signed and numbered 2006 Bird Girl/Midnight House ornaments, which are collectors items. The Bird Girl statue was made famous by the photo on the cover of "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." It was a burial statue in the Bonaventure Cemetery. It had to be removed for security reasons and is currently on display at the Telfair Museum of Art. We drove through the Bonaventure cemetery, but decided to go back there when we have more time to explore. The cemetery was started in the 1800s.
