Pheasantly Surprised!

I'm joining Susan's Tablescape Thursday again, thanks, Susan, for hosting, we do enjoy playing with our dishes! "Click on her name for lots more inspiration.

Inspiration for this tablescape came from this pheasant, below:
It's a gravy boat!

I found this cute gravy boat at Home Goods several weeks ago. The price was right - $7.99! Since we're having our grandchildren here for Thanksgiving, I thought it would be perfect for serving the turkey gravy! His long tail is the spoon!

How cute is that?!
I built the tablescape around the colors in the pheasant:
The tablecloth is bronze colored with a leaf design. It was from Ross a few years ago. The chargers (from Hobby Lobby) have a bronze edge. The plates (from TJ Maxx) and flatware (from Tuesday Morning) are more of a butterscotch color than shown in the pictures.

The large check napkins were probably from TJ Maxx. Napkin rings from Hobby Lobby (last year.) The vintage green goblets are from the 70's!

The centerpiece was made from faux flowers and leaves, and displayed on a wire tray.

View from the top:

I chose to go with dark hues this time and it is quite effective!

The napkin rings are all different.

Another look at the gravy boat, were you pheasantly surprised? LOL!
And, only $7.99!!

I hope you were pheasantly surprised at the gravy boat, and the way this all came together!

Happy Fall!

Katherine

That gravy boat is the perfect table inspiration. Your grandchildren will get a kick out of it.

I also love your dishes and the way you use plums and purples. They are such elegant fall colors to me and actually lovelier IMO than the usual oranges on a table.

Very beautiful, Katherine. I love the gravy boat and how you have pulled the burgundy color out of the eye-patch to include the centerpiece --- which ties into your walls. It is very autumnal and pretty. LOVE IT! Great job! How perfect for Thanksgiving!

You did an amazing job of pulling those colors throughout your table. I love those dishes, I have them in green, but they are wonderful in that color and the flatware is prefect. Dianne

DH had his post-op check-up & is doing well. How about YOU?? Did you ever find a decent replacement for your favorite tea? I surely would miss mine every morning!

Thanks for checking up on us. Come read about the adventures we've had at the Gazebo House this month. NOT fun!
