When I bought it I tried to find a size 6 1/2 which is my shoe size, but the closest I could get was this size 6.

Rose, that is fantastic, what a great shoe tree and to think those lovely roses were painted by you! well I am very impressed the colour of the timber and the artwork go so nice together.
A lovely show and tell from a lovely blog lady.....by the way I adore the autumn (fall) flowers on your front door.

One word: Awesome!!!!
great show n tell.
Very beautifully done, Kathy. Maybe you will pick up painting again someday.
Oh what a beautiful shoe tree and I just love the way you painted it!! Last summer I went to visit a pioneer village and at one of the homes they had a pair of these...now I know what they were used for!! xo
What a great item. I am sending this link to my mother-in-law to see. She has painted shoe trees herself.
I bought my Dad one of those for a desk paper weight. It was a smaller one. Someone else had already painted on it. You did a good job on the painting.
How neat. So did you buy a size 6 shoe just to try it out? Have a great day
Sarah
It's beautiful!
What a great conversation piece that is. I love how you painted it, you are very talented. Blessings.
That form is definitely for some seriously pointy-toed shoes! I love the painting you've done on it -- just lovely.
Very interesting item. Your painting on it is pretty.
How cool is that!?
I've never seen anything like this.
Very unique!
Wonderful shoe tree. I love your tole painting. It almost made me find my paints and get them out after quite some time away from that wonderful art form.
I came here from Lalee's Cottage. I'll be back to visit often. You have a wonderful blog and I share your love for yellow roses.

How unusual! I love that you painted it. Yellow roses are my favorite!
That is such a neat piece.

Your shoe tree is wonderful! And you did a great job painting those roses. I love antiques too.
I hope you'll stop by and see my Show and Tell for this week... my "garden dawgs."
I've never seen anything like this shoe tree! The painting is so pretty and definitely adds a touch of prettiness to it. :)
That is such a beautiful treasure, I love it!

I love your shoe--which I believe is actually a shoe last--what they actually used in the making of shoes. What a classic and wonderful piece! Great share!
Cathy :)
Very pretty and so unique!
It would also make a great weapon if you ever have a need for one! :-)
