Show and Tell - Family Silhouettes

Time for Kelli's Show and Tell, go here for many more fun things! Today I'm sharing one of my Christmas gifts. This is a silhouette of my 17-month-old grandson, Caden. I just love it!
I already had a silhouette of my other two grandsons when they were small, and one of their mother when she was 1-year-old. I hope to display all of them together somewhere. Now the two below are hanging between a closet and bookshelf, but the new one of Caden is too big for that area. (Below is Alyson's picture, top, and Taylor and Tanner.) I have always liked silhouettes.

Caden's silhouette is on top of a bookshelf for now. I'm hoping to incorporate them together soon, any suggestions?

Hand cut silhouettes are almost a lost art today. Today some are done by computer!

Thank you for your interest, please leave a comment! And please do return soon!

A true treasure!!! I've been thinking about how they were popular way back when.....didn't know that they still did it. And I think they're super. A fantastic Show N Tell!!!!

Katherine, I was given a silhouette of my godson when we baptized him years ago. It is a favorite possession. Yours are lovely! Thanks for showing them.

I love silhouettes! I especially like the one of the two boys together. How neat to have one of each grandchild!

What a fabulous collection! As for how to display them... I would take them all to a copy center and have them all made the same size... then I would get mats/frames that were all the same. (of course I love things that are all uniform lol)

What a treasure you have! I have rather large silouettes of my children when they were young and I'm thinking of having them reduced in size and framed near their pictures in my hallway gallery. ~Adrienne~

I like how clean and simple silhouettes look, and yours have a special history to them -- even better!

Cute---we used to have silouettes (hmm, can't rem how to spell it!) of my brother and I as kids. I am wondering who do these---who made them?

How precious each one is. The artists did wonderful work. It is amazing that you can see different personalities in each one.

Oh, they are so cute! I really love the way they look. I would suggest just hanging them all together on one wall. What a great way to remember someone!

Hi Katherine, These are gorgeous! I especially love that little piece of hair at the back of Caden's head. You mentioned that they were all different in size and that the newer one is larger, but you didn't say how much larger. If you could possibly post a photo showing all three together maybe we could give you some ideas or thoughts about how to work with them. Right now I don't know what the difference is in size so it is difficult to make suggestions. They really are treasures. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Katherine,
Just wanted to stop by and say hello and thanks for coming by my blog for a visit. Thanks for the comment on my supper!! For some reason that post brought out a lot of southern girls! Wonder what causes that? lol

Thanks again and please stop back by any time. Always good to meet another southerner! I loved having you.
I'm off now to read all your blog archives. Looks like I'm here for the night! LOL
