More Thanksgiving Decor

I found this Indian maiden at Hobby Lobby a year or so ago. I was disappointed that there wasn't an Indian scout to go with her, but I bought her anyway because she was half price, which made her $6.00

She is displayed on the hall tree in our foyer.

I usually don't like, or buy, figurines without faces, but I made an exception with her. I don't know why I have never liked faceless figures. Some people like them because they can use their imagination about how they look. How do you feel about this?

Thank you for your interest, it is very appreciated. Please leave a comment, and please do return soon!

I like the faceless figurines, but my husband doesn't. Well, that should tell you how many I have - zero! Maybe sometime you will find the mate to yours. Have a great weekend!!!

Kathy, I just caught up on all your Thanksgiving posts for the week. I always love seeing how you decorate, and the traditions information was interesting too.

Your indian maiden is lovely! I don't mind faceless figurines. I prefer that over silly faced ones! :)

Have a lovely weekend.

I just love your Indian Maiden, Katherine. I'm like you...I prefer faces, but would have made an exception, too. So pretty!

Hi Katherine -
I don't mind faceless figurines if the overall look of the piece is right. I've seen some strange faceless figurines that gave me the creeps! I prefer the faceless ones to a lot of those with faces. I always look at the face of a figurine and if it's not right I won't buy it no matter how much I like the overall thing.

I've always felt the same way about the faceless figures but like you, purchses 2 Indians and 2 Pilgrims from Hobby Lobby last year.

Thanks for visiting my blog. You would enjoy doing a photo tree on one of your pencil trees.

I felt like I was seeing face until you mentioned she didn't have one. She's kind of angelic.

Your guest are going to love your decor. It is very pretty. I like your faceless figurine. In my Roselakecottage blog I have a faceless carved angel and I love her too.
Sometimes faces just don't look like they belong. I have put far too many items back on the shelf because I didn't like the face. So I guess it all depends on what you find.
Happy Thanksgiving. God Bless You

Hi Katherine,
Your Indian Maiden is lovely without a face. I do like faces better though. Maybe you will find the perfect mate for her someday.

I never use to like the faceless figurines either -- kind of creepy at times but my sister collects the Willow angels that are faceless and they kind of have to grow on you! The Indian on I think is kind of like the Willow angels! Enjoyed looking at it!!!
Happy Thanksgiving Katherine and your hubby! Gobble Gobble!

Oh how I love your Indian Maiden, I've never seen a figurine like that before! She really is beautiful. Like you, I usually prefer a face...my mom is the same way and I'll never forget one time when someone had given her a faceless figurine, the next time I saw it, mom had drawn a face on it! She said she couldn't stand it being faceless! lol xoxo

Your grandson is a man after my own heart. The breakfast supper he requested is exactly and I mean exactly what I like. It must be the Nov. 24 connection. Does he like chili dogs and hamburgers. How about coconut cream pie?
