I had planned to surprise her with a Belle Tea Party when she comes to visit us. Problem is – they don’t come to visit us!! When they come to Florida they don’t come to our house to stay with us, they go straight to Disney World for the week. Disney World is about two hours from our house. We are invited to go visit them there. This can be fun (and exhausting) but I would like to have our granddaughter come to our house to have memories of being in our home, etc! I’ve bought several things to do with her when they visit our house. She is now four years old, we haven’t had a tea party with her in our house yet.
So I'm having the tea party now and hope to someday be able to re-stage it if they will come here!
When I saw both of these Belle tea party tea sets, including the Belle as a child doll, I knew I wanted them for Elisabeth, who is a girly-girl, and enjoys girly things!
Mrs. Potts, the tea pot, and Chip, the tea cup has a place of honor as part of the centerpiece, along with the sugar bowl and faux sugar cubes.
A metal shabby chic plant stand is used for the table, with a cocktail napkin as the table cloth.
Mrs. Potts
Mrs. Potts is adorable, when you tip her to pour you push the knob on the lid and it makes a gurgling sound as you pour the “tea.” Belle sings several sweet songs. The "plastic" tea slips just so far from the tea pot (then retracts back inside the spout when the tea pot is upright again!
The little Beauty and the Beast plates top off the dessert plates.
Yellow handled flatware is used.
I took many pictures before I remembered my fresh yellow roses (a Valentine's gift from my husband!) They are perfect for the centerpiece!
Right?
Chip and Mrs. Potts ornaments are iridescent, the picture doesn't show the real beauty.
Invite you to join them

Hi Katherine...
Ahhh...this is just adorable! Any little girl would just love a pretty table set like this! I do hope that your precious little granddaughter is able to come for a visit very soon! She'll love Belle and Ms. Pots! And yes...your Valentine roses look perfect! They really are the most beautiful shade of yellow...how very sweet of your honey!
Katherine, I have 10 grandchildren...8 boys and only 2 girls. Emi is 9 yrs. old and Caylee is 6 yrs. old. I would just adore having a tea party with them as well but they are both in Texas! I think that Caylee will be here for a visit soon though. Thank you for sharing this great idea!!!
Warmest wishes, sweet friend!

I think you should take pictures of your tea party and send them to your granddaughter! She will treasure them....what a fun table. I do love the Beauty and the Beast
theme, complete with beautiful roses!Thank you for sharing...Blessings My Friend,
That is the sweetest teatime table scape I've ever seen. How cute ;-)
Katherine, this is just the cutest table ever. I love it. What a fun table to do. Hugs, Marty
That is so sweet. I hope they'll see your post and maybe spend a bit of time with you too. I know my 4 year old granddaughter would love to have a Belle Tea Party. We're about 2 hours away from Disney too but my son comes here with the kids til the 4 year old is bigger. Said if he has to pay big bucks he wants her to be able to really enjoy herself. The 11 & 7 year old will love it whenever they get there.
What a sweet tea table that any little girl would love! My grandtwins will be old enough for this soon -- can't wait, although my daughter and her husband are making noises about moving after she graduates from nursing school next spring. I'm hoping that will change.
Oh Katherine...this is just so cute! Thank you so much for the birthday card! I appreciate it so much!
Katherine, what a cute little tea set. Makes a perfect centerpiece for your beautiful table. This one makes me smile! ~ Sarah
How precious! I love it!

I always love the miniatures and the whimsical! Having all grandsons, I never get to do tea parties....we have mud fests....LOL.....but I am happy for you to enjoy this little girl and "make believe" with her.
I'll bet that she'll soon be old enough to come for a one-on-one stay with her wonderful grandmom, and you'll have that tea every day while she's there. This is perfectly charming! Thank you for sharing your wonderful design and for stopping by my post. Cherry Kay
This is your best one yet...I know how you feel about not having special time with your granddaughter..and she is just the right age for a tea....I'm so glad I moved back here to spend time with my two grandchildren here before they grew up...it makes me sad to spend so little time with my three in Texas but that's the way it is.
You find the best things..I would have bought this even if there was no granddaughter in my life.

I feel your pain about never having had your little granddaughter come to your house...it's the same with me. I have all kinds of fun faerie things to do with her whenever she comes over but she's going to be 3 years old this year and hasn't been here yet. Such a darling tea party you have waiting for Elisabeth and I pray that one day soon the parents will make the effort to bring her over so that you can enjoy it with her:-) xoxo
Hi Katherine,
Sorry I'm so late stopping by, but I was thinking of you and wanted to see what you'd posted since my last visit. This is truly enchanting. It speaks not only of your love for your sweet granddaughter, but of your creativity, imagination, and eye for beauty. Your pictures are wonderful, especially the ones that capture the shadows and natural light. The yellow roses really added the perfect finishing touch!
Bye for now ...
Bill
Oh, Katherine, It breaks my heart that you never get to have your granddaughter visit you. What a joy she would have sitting at this table sharing tea with her loving grandmother. It is so precious! I am so blessed to have mine so close to me. And thanks to you for the lovely gifts I won from you last year, I was able to have a lovely tea with my granddaughter. Sending loving thoughts your way.
So sweet. Ivy is already playing with a tea set I have here for her.
The older girls love Mrs. Potts and anything Disney.
Cute, cute tablescape!
