Tablescape Thursday

Welcome to my Tablescape Thursday!

I'm calling today's tablescape "Cameo Appearance!"

The inspiration for this tablescape comes from this little voltive holder I found at Dollar Tree. I knew right away I wanted to use them for a tablescape.

Last summer while visiting my sister she gave me a lot of costume jewelry and some of these cameo pins was in with all of it.

The centerpiece is made from this mirror and candles
that sits on our coffee table in our family room.

I needed a cameo type picture to go in this cute little frame, so I googled and found this great silhouette! I couldn't believe it fit perfectly in this frame! I just love it! A cameo ring and earrings are also scattered on the mirror. The reflection in the mirror is the burgundy colored ceiling above the dining room table!

I've said I'm not going to spend a lot of money doing these tablescapes, not buying anymore china, but when I was at Hobby Lobby last weekend these plates were on sale for 80% off! This made them only $2.80 each!! Now, I couldn't resist this bargain, could I?!!

The serving pieces are assorted clear cutglass dishes, I think they match the crystal water goblets. The flatware is Chippendale by Oneida, I think the gold on them goes well with the touches of gold around the onyx colored plates.

The salad plates don't show how pretty they are, here's a closer look:

You can see the design through the salad plates if you hold them up to the light:
I bought these four salad plates at Ross for about $4.99.

I used the cameo pins on the napkin rings. I thought folding these napkins into a fan shape was very appropriate to go with the ladies in the cameos.

Close-ups of the cameos:

I will do another tablescape soon using these same plates with my gold-leaf chargers, they are in the attic and I couldn't get them down today. To see these gold-leaf chargers, go here, to the Christmas in July tablescape I posted a few days ago. I think these gold chargers will look great with these plates, don't you? I'm already making plans for another tablescape with these pretty plates!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Cameo Appearance Tablescape Thursday!

Thanks to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting the Tablescape Thursdays, go here for lots more inspiration!

Have a happy day!
God Bless.

Katherine

What an imagination! I wondered where you keep all of these dishes. In the attic, I guess. The black ones are neat. Right now, I'm looking for some simple white ones. I saw some botanical salad plates at TJ Maxx that I should have bought. I loved them.

I just love your cameo appearance! I've never seen anyone use cameos. So now you'll be remembered around here as the one who started the cameo tablescaping, I'm sure! The napkin and napkin rings you've put together look so ultra nice. This is just beautiful! I was at HL a few weeks ago, and saw some plates on sale. But I couldn't decide which to get, so I didn't get any. Now I'm wishing I had gone ahead and bought some!

I've always loved cameos and seeing them used in such a wonderful tablescape is such fun. Your attention to every detail makes this a truly unique setting. The crocheted cloth is very pretty.

Those bargain plates from Hobby Lobby are great. I don't have that store close by, but I do love hunting for treasures at Ross and Marshall.

This is the most beautiful, most unique tablescape I have ever laid eyes on. I am not kidding. I am partial to cameos and to dressing tables, and that is exactly what your tablescape reminds me of, a fabulous, elegant dressing table.
And it all looks so vintage too, another love of mine.
Isn't it a thrill when fantastic finds all blend together in perfection?

Oh! I almost forgot to thank you for your kind comments to me on my blog! Thanks for visiting!
