remembered I had some Dollar Tree Christmas dishes way up in the top of our kitchen cabinets, so hubby got them down for me and I've put together two different tablescapes for two in our breakfast nook. The one above has red cardinal birds on the plates and the mugs.
The Christmas tablescape, below, has red poinsettias around the border of the plates.
Keep in mind, all of our Christmas storage boxes are in the attic
so I had to improvise with the centerpieces, and accents.
so I had to improvise with the centerpieces, and accents.
I used a tartan plaid tablecloth with the cardinal plates,
and hunter green napkins with a red rose napkin ring.
I found one little bunch of holly so I put it in a white tea pot along with a red rose. I like the contrast between the deep reds and greens, and the white.and hunter green napkins with a red rose napkin ring.
For the second Christmas tablescape I used a red tablecloth with the red poinsettia bordered plates, and napkins with big poinsettias.
The centerpiece is what I use on our family room coffeetable - a pretty white cut-out voltive holder, and two candlesticks. After taking these pictures with the white bird, I remembered I have a little Christmas bird on top of our TV armoire, so I put it there in place of the white one.
I found the little white pitcher at Ross recently for only $2.99. I wanted something to put on top of the red plate so decided this would do fine, we'll just say it's for syrup for a Christmas breakfast with French toast or waffles!
Hard to choose a favorite, but I think I like this one with the plaid tablecloth.
Can't beat the price of all of these plates and mugs! Love the Dollar Tree!
Anyone can create a pretty Christmas tablescape inexpensively with Dollar Tree!

Katherine, you always do such an amazing job of pulling things from around the house for all your tablescapes. You did a fantastic job with both of these. I don't think I could pick a favorite. They are both lovely. Hugs, Marty

Wow, those came from Dollar Tree? They are beautiful.
I love both tables, but the plaid tablecloth is very nice and makes those dishes really pop. But, then again, I do love the other plates.
Dollar Tree???? I am still amazed at these. I have lots of things from there but don't remember Christmas dishes. I will be looking this year.
Thanks for joining us today.
I never saw plates like that at the Dollar Tree! Was it last year..or earlier? I only started going to them a year or so ago...such fun!
Sweet tables..hard to believe it is only 5 months away!
Katherine,
Great Christmas tablescapes for being last minute & having to improvise with what you had handy. My favorite is the cardinal plates. How come I never saw them at my Dollar Tree? I have found out that different Dollar Trees carry different stuff. I guess it depends on the size of the store. I Can't wait to see what Dollar Tree has this year. I love shopping there. Thanks for visiting my blog & leaving me a comment. It really means a lot to me.

Beautiful dishes! It's hard for me to pick a favorite! I'm partial to poinsettias, but the holly and ribbon with the birds is so pretty too!
I really loved the tartan plaid tablecloth, and the detail of the red rose with the green napkin was so elegant looking.
Great job!
All the best,
Eileen
