Today I'm taking part in Felicia's Christmas in July party, go here for more participants. The picture above is the centerpiece I used at the Christmas tea party I hosted for my Faith Sharing Group last December.
I didn't take very good tablescape pictures because I wasn't really planning on using them for tablescapes.
The Centerpiece is The Holy Family, gold angels, and gold candlestick. A burgundy tablecloth was used.
I collect Nativity sets and this is one of my favorites. I bought it at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago. It is displayed on a gold-leafed charger with a gold net scarf and gold roses.The china is Old Country Roses "Season of Colors." The plates are displayed on gold-leafed chargers. These chargers are from Pier 1 many years ago. My children gave them to me even before chargers became so popular. Napkins have the OCR rose pattern. Flatware is Chippendale by Oneida.
The Season's of Colors OCR plates have different topiary designs. At this tea party I used the Christmas tree topiaries only.
The above shot isn't clear, but you can see the place settings.
My Faith Sharing Group friends are such sweet ladies. In the background this picture you can see my tea time Christmas tree that has mini tea pots, tea cups, and other tea related items on it. I put up seven small themed Christmas trees and one large 7-foot tree at Christmastime.
Here you can see the gold rimmed crystal. I don't know the name or maker.(That's me in the white blouse.)

I can't wait until Christmas and being able to get to all my decor. When I started this party idea, I didn't realize how difficult it was to find the things I wanted to use. I have so much Christmas decor and although it is all stored together in matching plastic tubs and in the same end of the shed, I didn't mark the tubs with a list of contents. So, I have been using dishes and items that were either picked up after the holidays or that got left out of the packing. So, I am just sort of clumping together a table for the spirit of July.
We had a hard drive fail and I lost all of my photos from last year. I have the ones that I store on Photobucket, but no tables!!!!
I hope you come back next week. Maybe with a photo of that great tree and a teaser of things yet to come.

Katherine, what a beautiful tablescape. I love the nativity scene and the pretty gold netting and roses. Your dishes are just stunning. I havn't seen that pattern, but it is just gorgeous. Katherine! It is a toss-up whether it takes my breath away, or just makes me laugh and smile as if I were at the party! You certainly have put together a beautiful and welcoming home. The smiles on everyone's faces is the perfect finishing touch.
I, too, would love to see the "tea tree". And more of your OCR. I love their patterns, but knew if I bought one it would easily become a problem .... I would want them ALL!
Last week was a little bit of Christmas in July for me, too! Sorting and organizing. I was "supposed" to get rid of some stuff ... but it was impossible! (I posted a bit about my "Christmas Explosion")

Beautiful table! I love the Holy Family centerpiece. I have a white one, a music box, under a cloche that I keep out all year.

The items I like best are the gold roses, gold scarf and the white lace doily under the plate. It is an elegant setting and not overdone. Thank you for sharing. You know, I've begun my Christmas shopping. Hallmark has their Ornament open house this weekend so Christmas in July is a great idea. We're over half way there.

Your Christmas tablescape is beautiful. The gold and burgundy color scheme is lovely with your china.
I also have a tabletop "Tea Tree" in my dining room and really enjoy it. It is so much fun collecting the ornaments for it.
Love that centerpiece - it really speaks of the true meaning of Christmas which of course, is great to remember in July and year-round! Your dishes are very pretty and love that tea-themed tree!
