Tea Room Ventures

May 11 - May 17 - Tea Room Ventures and Venues. We are to share all about favorite tea rooms. I have several tea rooms to share this week. I'm starting with the one tea room in the small town where we live. It is owned by a British couple and they stock English teas, lemon curd, and Devonshire cream, among a lot of packaged foods such as biscuits (cookies!) The name of the tea room is Shakespeare's Tea Room. It is a pretty tea room, but not at all froo-froo! The chairs are high back, black leather. Shakespeare's has a nice gift shop with tea cups and saucers and many lovely items.

Below is a tiered tray served at the Afternoon Tea at Shakespeare's. It is all very tasty. Shakespeare's trademark is a swan. Notice the swan shaped cream puff on the bottom tray.

Fresh flowers are displayed in a tea cup (below)

When friends come to visit, we usually go to this tea room!

Another side of the tiered tray.

My friend ordered the salad and sandwich lunch. Check out the stawberries with the cream and chocolate cookie!
They serve a lot of food and I always have leftovers! I like the way they wrap the scone in the shape of a swan!

Come visit me and we'll go to Shakespeare's Tea Room!

How lovely! This looks like a very nice tea room, Katherine! It's elegant and the food looks delicious! It's nice that their serving sizes aren't 'too small'. And the swan shaped foods --- really cute!

I look forward to your other reviews to follow! You always visit such interesting places.

Your picture of the tea tray made me hungry! How good everything looks. I've made cream puff swans a couple times. I'm sure I'd get fired if I had to make them every day for this tearoom. :)

What a wonderful tea room. I love the swan theme, especially the foil-wrapped scone. If I ever get to your part of the world can we meet there for tea and a nice long chat? ~Adrienne~

Any tea room owner who takes the time to create swans from cream puffs is top shelf in my book! LOL!

Everything looks beautiful and, yes, I'll be along shortly and off we'll go! Looks like my kind of place.
