More Than a Tea Bag

Loose teas are my favorite, but a close second are the fancy silk tea bags. Tea Forte' has these pyramid shaped silk infusers. Topping them off is a tiny paper leaf of tea! They have several flavors and even have little square dishes to set the infuser in. Someday I will buy one of those! This little demi tea cup and saucer was from my mother's tea cup collection. The silk tea bag on the left is a Harney and Sons tea "sachet." It's a special touch to use one of these. This small plate is Old Country Roses "Seasons of Colour," by Royal Albert.

Thank you for your interest, please leave a comment! And please do return soon!

Hi Katherine.
Thanks for visiting me. Wouldn't it be fun to get together for a cup of tea? I don't go for fancy teas much, just a good hot cup of English Breakfast tea is my favorite. I like Earl Grey also. I've found that Tetley British Blend is the closest you can get to real English teas here. I'll bookmark you too.

You really are a tea connoisseur (one who has expert knowledge and keen discrimination) of tea. I, for one, am VERY impressed. I appreciate the education on the subject I'd never even heard of silk tea bags.

Oh, I don't think I could use one of those! They are so pretty! Does tea taste better in silk?

I LOVE tea! I drink it everyday! I haven't had coffee in years. I've had some of the fancier teas in the silk bags, they are very good. I don't buy them on a regular basis but every now and then I pick some up if I come across a new tea shop. Your tea cup is very pretty.

Katherine,

I love tea of all kinds. When I was young, we used loose tea. When I had a home of my own, we still used loose tea until it was hard to find. Now we can find it but are used to tea bags. I also enjoy green tea, which is supposed to be very good for us.

Thanks for sharing.
Blessing,
Mary

I like using the Tea Forte pyramids for parties. Some of the tea is so brightly colorful and it gets everyone talking. Your mother's cup and saucer are beautiful.
