Let's Dish - Copy Cat Christmas Tablescape

The picture above is from Pinterest, it was on The Everyday Home in November 2013 on "A Farmhouse Christmas."  I, along with Kathleen and a few others, have chosen this picture from Pinterest to do my Copy Cat Tablescape Challenge. Below is another photo of this tablescape. This is Anita's of Far Above Rubies blog.

Below is my version of this "Farmhouse Christmas" tablescape:

Cuisine Kathleen said she didn't have to buy anything to do her version, but I have been collecting things for this for a few months.  I bought these pretty plaid napkins:

They were only $1.99 each and I bought four (all they had.)

I looked for a while to find these pretty red goblets. I passed up several styles, but held out for these and I'm glad I did. They were at Beall's Outlet and were only $11.99 for four, and were packaged in a box for easy storage! I bought two boxes, and I bought them on senior day with 15% off!

The third thing I had to buy was this box(es):

I found them at Hobby Lobby for $7.99 each, but they were half price, or two for the price of one! I will later use them for CD boxes!

As you can see I didn't break the bank to do this tablescape. I had the white Dollar Tree plates already.

The white cups and saucers were from Home Goods a few years ago, and the place mats from Walgreen's a while ago.

I already had the white candles and I used faux greenery.

The centerpiece was very easy to put together.

Click on Cuisine Kathleen's name for lots of inspiration.
I'm also joining Susan's Tablescape Thursday, click on her name for lots of fun as well.

Won't you join us, here's a place just for you!

 Merry Christmas!!

Katherine

How nice that you and Kathleen had the same table in mind. It certainly is a beautiful one to copy and you did a wonderful job! I love that you didn't have to splurge too much to turn out a lovely table.

Your table came out gorgeous! You met the challenge perfectly, as lovely as Anita's! I too had everything in the house for my copy cat table. See you at the party.
Happy holiday season my friend.

Oh my goodness, you did a fantastic job of copying Anita's "box". I almost did the same one for the challenge, but changed it at the last minute...I did do one with the "box" and posted it Sunday! I need to find some faux greens, my kitty keeps jumping onto the table to grab pieces of it to play with.
I love the tartan napkins, they say Christmas to me.
Hope you have a wonderful week, Katherine.

The contrast of the black centerpiece box against the vibrant green is gorge! I love the dramatic flair!

Great job, K.! What a great buy you got on the glasses, they are beautiful! I have some that are similar, but I was too lazy to make another trip to the basement, so I used the stems that were in the china closet. Your table is perfect!
Thanks for taking part in the challenge!
I see blogger has put the id back on your blog, it has happened to a few others without them knowing it!

You did a really smashing job, Katherine! That was a smart idea to abutt 2 boxes that can later be used to store CDs!!! That is such a smart and practical thing to do!

Great buy on the beautiful stemware and the napkins! You'll get a lot of fantastic uses from those in the future.

Have a happy weekend!!!

Oh, my dear friend - your table is just wonderful! I loved the way you shared the 'secrets' behind everything. Knowing how you put it all together is such fun. And the bargains you got! Just my style. I'm still busy decorating. Life and a major project is getting in the way! The major project is our quest to simplify our lives and get rid of everything we don't love or need. That includes my Christmas decorations, which I'm going through one at a time to decide. I've taken quite a few things to the Goodwill and more will go next week. So, in the meantime, I'll just stop by and enjoy your tablescape. Wish I could stop by and see it in person. What fun we would have.

I love the way you created your centerpiece and the way it mimics the centerpiece of the inspiration table. Great score on the wine glasses by the way. I just love bargains like that.

Katherine, you really nailed this! It is perfection!

I love, love, love the napkins. Wish I had some like those. I am a plaid lover from the get-go. And the glasses. You aren't kidding when you say, SCORE!

Great job!
