I was all set to wear my beautiful Victorian frock, but then read Laura's post and learned one should never wear black to a royal wedding! Wonder what the British fashion police would do if I wore it anyway!
My husband bought this wonderful two-piece ensemble for me when we were visiting St. Augustine, FL a few years ago.
I had no place to wear the dress, but I was so in love with it, he bought it for me anyway!
I finally had an opportunity to wear it to a tea party at our neighborhood clubhouse a few years ago. These pictures were taken then.

Back to the closet on the hanger! I'm happy to have another opportunity to share my treasure with you! I hope you like it, even if the British would frown on it!I decorated this wide brim hat to wear with the dress.
We took our own tea cups to the tea party and I took the yellow rose tea cup above. Thanks to Laura for hosting this fun party!

I think your outfit is tres chic...love the hat!
Oh my! I am in LOVE. What a dress. Queen Victoria wore black to her son's wedding. :) Of course she also sat in a sequestered cabinet as well due to her perpetual mourning for Prince Albert.
Let's put you in the pretty princess and hats off category.
Thank you for linking up.
I don't care what the British fashion police would say, that dress and hat ensemble is absolutely gorgeous and suits you so well! You look so elegant and I have no doubt you would fit right in with the royalty:-) Such a shame you can't wear it more often...you need to come up with ideas so that you do have a reason for wearing it again! lol xoxo
I have that dress as well...and love it! First Spencer Alexis I bought several years ago. Great taste? And a Royal Albert teacup I spy!. Thanks for visiting my blog...I am now a follower of yours!
