Tabletops Tuesday

Time for Tabletops Tuesday! Thanks to Marty for hosting this enjoyable event! Go here for lots more inspiration!
Today I'm sharing the newly decorated top of our china cabinet in our dining room.

We have very high ceilings in our house so the tops of the furniture need to be decorated to use up some of that space!
I sometimes change the top of the china cabinet often, especially at holidays.

This change was inspired by the magnolia plate in the middle of this vignette. I found it a few months ago for only $5.99. My husband also painted the planter, on the left, black. I've been bringing a lot of black into my decor, using it some way in each room.

I realize I should have taken a closeup of the magnolia plate, but didn't feel up to climbing on top of the table and chairs!

I hope you enjoyed seeing this vignette on our china cabinet.

This post is a little shorter today, mainly because I'm doing two posts tonight. One on the old Victoria (the premiere, very first issue, back in 1987.) If you are interested in those former Victoria magazines, scroll down to see! (will be posted about 10 p.m. tonight)

Have a happy day!

God Bless.

Katherine

Katherine, your vignette on top of the china cabinet is just gorgeous. Our last house had really high vaulted ceilings and I just loved them. We only have 9 ft. ceilings here. Your magnolia plate is so pretty and the touch of black is perfect. It's amazing what a little black will do. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty

Hi sweet lady...

Ohhh my...you have decorated the top of your china cabinet so beautifully, my friend! I love, love, LOVE that pretty magnolia plate! I certainly can see how it was the inspiration for this new vignette! Love the black planter too! You know, I find that adding just a little black to a room's decor really "grounds" everything! Great idea!!! I also was admiring your pretty cherub blowing his trumpet! Sooo pretty! Thank you for sharing your new vignette with us today, sweet lady!

Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

I love that you took such care in addressing the top of your hutch! I think it adds a nice tounch, too many people leave the top naked! Fab job!
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Katherine! I love your vignette! What a pretty plate for inspiration too. I wish the top of my china cabinet was flat but it's rounds at at the top!
Be a sweetie,

Recently I have been finding versions of the high wheeler bicycles on my thrifting trips.
They are so much fun. Makes me smile anytime I see one. (and tricycles too)
