Tablescape Thursday

Tablescape Thursday is our fun day to play with our dishes! Thanks to Susan for hosting, go here for lots more inspiration.

Inspiration for this tablescape was these little plates I bought at Home Goods this past year.
I have had a hard time coming up with something to use with them though. There are so many shades of greens that it was hard to find the right green color to go with them.

I decided I would use the opposite color on the color wheel for the second color. This would be red! I'm quite pleased with the way it finally came together!
Green and red!!

The floral bread plate is by Mesa.

The red dessert plate is Antica Roma by Gibson, I bought these at Ross at $8.99 for four. The red doesn't photograph well, it is called a Tuscan red.

The square polka dot plate is 222Fifth PTS International Aria Pois Red, I bought them at TJ Maxx for $2.99 each. The white dinner plates are from Dollar Tree.
We've had the flatware for over 20 years, I don't even know the name of it.

The apple green tablecloth was from Home Goods, last year.

For the centerpiece I used a doll sized adirondack chair filled with faux flowers and greenery.

The red blends well with the wineberry color on the walls.

A place for you!

I hope you enjoyed my red and green summer tablescape!

I'm also joining The Style Sisters Centerpiece Wednesday, go here to see lots more!

Have a happy day!

God Bless.

This looks like a lime green..I know it is hard to tell sometimes online...You did a very good job with it..Granny Smith Apples would go well with it, I think..I love the centerpiece..I'm wondering where you store all of these plates.

I think the colors of this table are wonderful and am so glad you paired that green with the red.

I'm going to find some of those colors around here. That's just plain pretty!

Also love the adorable centerpiece. It's creative and goes so well with the place settings with variety in pattern and geometric design.

A great job!

You have proven red & green are not just for Christmas! The shades you have chosen really do look summery - like a strawberry with leaves! Those green plates are pretty but I'm also loving the red ones as I'm on the look out for some! The little chair with floral arrangement is a terrific centerpiece!

Very, very pretty & a fitting way to end the summer season. Don't put all your pretty red items away too well...you'll need them again come Dec. I really like how many holidays I can use RED...Valentines, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July, Labor Day & of course, Christmas!
I'm working on a Labor Day table right now, in fact, with red on it.

fondly,
Rett
