Florida Sunset

We are back from our vacation in SW Florida. Even though we live near the ocean on the east coast of Florida we still enjoy going to other places in Florida, especially to the west coast since the gulf area is a little different from the Atlantic Ocean where we live. One thing the west coast has that we don't are the fabulous sunsets over the water! This photo was taken in Punta Gorda, at the bay area where we stayed.

We visited many places, but were based in Punta Gorda. This small town was hit head-on by Hurricane Charley almost two years ago (in August) They have done a marvelous job of bouncing back and making the area clean and beautiful again. We were amazed that almost everything had been rebuilt, there was hardly any signs of the devastation.

While there we visited Venice, Naples, Ft. Myers, several islands, including Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We have a lot of pictures on film and digital and I hope to share them with you soon.
