Roses!

 Everybody knows I love roses, and yellow roses are my favorite,  this has been since I was a teenager or younger.  I always had them for corsages for dances, etc. I carried yellow roses as my wedding bouquet. My husband always surprised me with yellow roses on our anniversary and my birthdays, and sometimes, just because!

 

In May I started featuring the Birth Month Flower on Facebook. I did Lily of the Valley. May is also my birth month. Everyone enjoyed seeing daily posts of Lily of the Valley. I wish I had thought to also do them here on my blog, but I didn't think of it in time. 

Here's the Flower of the Month Chart:
I did think to do it again in June. I always thought June Birth Month Flower was just Rose, but the chart above lists it as Cream Rose. I chose that since it is a little more unique. White are more common than cream roses, don't you think? I found some really gorgeous Cream Roses (mostly on Pinterest.)

Unfolding the Rose

It is only a tiny rosebud

A flower of God's design

But I cannot unfold the petals

With these clumsy hands of mine.

The secret of unfolding flowers

is not known to such as I.

God opens this flower so sweetly,

Then, in my hands, they die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,

The flower of God's design,

Then how can I have the wisdom

To unfold this life of mine?

So, I'll trust in Him for leading

Each moment of my day.

I will look to Him for His guidance

Each step of the Pilgrim's way.

I'm now posting the July Birth Flower of the Month on my FaceBook. The July flower is Water Lily and Delphinium (or Larkspur) I learned that they are the same, did you know that? I didn't. I chose to use the Water Lily to post daily. They are in several colors.  I will try to remember to do a Water Lily post the end of July or first of August.
