It's Still Summertime!!

Time for Cuisine Kathleen's Let's Dish! Click on her name for lots of fun and inspiration!

It's still Summertime!! Forgive me for posting the last three posts on Fall decor for the Talent Scouting Party! (I had a mission!) It's still summertime, especially here in FL! I'm one person who does not like decorating for fall early! For one - I don't want to have to look at it for four months till time for Christmas decor, which I don't like to go up before Thanksgiving! I don't like to skip Thanksgiving, skipping thanking our Lord for many blessings! Okay, now you know some of my dislikes! Here are some of my likes - favorites, if you will! Yellow! Yellow is my most favorite color! Yellow daisies are a close second to my most favorite yellow rose!

Inspiration for this tablescape was these bright yellow napkins. I have forgotten where I bought them (maybe Kohl's?)

I wanted to do one more bright summery cheery tablescape, before summer ends. We still have two more months of blazing heat here in FL!

I used bright yellow salad plates with white dollar tree dinner plates, my everyday flatware (Oneida Chippendale) and white tea pot napkin rings.

The centerpiece is a white wicker dolls chair and my Daisy Girl figurine.

I call her Daisy Girl because she has a daisy ring on her head, she is carrying a straw hat full of daisies, and she is holding a daisy in her left hand, can you see it?

She also has daisies on her dress:

I like using one of my doll chair collection in centerpieces. Someday soon I will probably give them to our granddaughter.

But, I will miss them!! LOL!

I debated on whether to use white tea cups on top of the plates:

What do you think?

Or the napkin with tea pot napkin ring on the plate?

I chose this one!

I don't know the name of this crystal, I bought them at Ross about ten years ago. I chose to use these because the gold rim matches the gold on the flatware.

I also couldn't decide which side of the little chair I wanted her on!

I hope you enjoyed my summertime tablescape! Is it still summertime where you are?

Cuisine Kathleen's next Let's Dish Challenge is "Summertime!" I hope everyone joins us there on August 15th!

I'm also linking to Susan's Tablescape Thursday, and Tablescaper's Seasonal Sundays. Click on their names for more inspiration. Thanks to all the ladies for hosting!

oh is it every still summertime.. 6 more weeks.. only half way through this blasted heat!!! As I've aged, I've gotten less fond of summer as the years go by.. But I do so love it when spring is over and summer arrives with the "warmer" temps.. but then it gets 100 here quickly.. yikes..

Your yellow table is sooo pretty. I love those plates.. and the pretty napkins. The lady is really stunning. a very pretty table.. xo marlis

LOVE this whole post, from the wonderful and happy yellow table to your point of view, which I happen to share, about not jumping into fall in the middle of summer.

I'm with you 100%, and your festive yellow table makes me want to get busy on a yellow summer one of my own.

It is still very much Summertime....and I have had my patriotic decor up for so long, it is time to change it up. I had forgotten about my sand and sea centerpiece, perhaps I'll get that one out...
I love, love the napkin rings and napkins also the little lace saucers.
Blessings,
Mama Bear

I agree- It's still summertime! Let's still embrace it! I love the yellow napkins- they color is striking and the napkin rings are precious! The cute wicker chair is adorable and your lovely statue is so graceful! I agree wholly on your thoughts about the seasons/holidays and decorating!
I do think about them, but I definitely don't start too early.

What a cheerful shade of yellow! I love your chair and "daisy" girl centerpiece. I really like both the napkins on the plate or the addition of the cup and saucer. I can never make my mind up about placement, so I often change things halfway through my photos!

Hello there! It's such a treat to see all this cheery, fun yellow! I, too, love the color with a passion. I haven't had a chance to use it much this summer, so I'm glad to get my "fix" here! Pretty daisy girl...so delicate! Enjoy these last weeks of summer!
