We're Back

We arrived back home Monday night after traveling 1700 miles the twelve days we were gone.

Home Sweet Home!
The day after the funeral in North Alabama, we drove to Knoxville, TN to visit number-three daughter and her family for a few days. Next we drove across the mountains to SC where number-two daughter lives with her family. We had already visited with number-one daughter and her family in Tallahassee, FL the first night we were gone. She and her husband also drove with us the eight hours to funeral.

Visiting the younger two grandchildren was a good idea as it was a good diversion from the sadness of the funeral. (We had also visited with our two grown grandsons, in Tallahassee.)

We visited another kind of mouse in TN, different from the DW mouse in FL!
Elisabeth with Chuckie Cheese mouse!
She is five.

This little puppy, Madison, is a new member of the family in SC.
Madison is adorable and gave us lots of love, kisses, and laughs! So did Caden! He's five too.

We also visited the Farmer's Market for lots of fresh fruit and veggies!
Check out these luscious SC peaches!

I enjoyed seeing many family members, but it's good to be back home!

Back home to the peace on our back porch.

The peacefulness of swinging.....

Our swing is one of my favorite places to meditate

Many conversations with the Lord are right here...

Blessings.....

I painted the above sign since we do live beside the still waters....

He really did lead us beside the still waters!

He gives us the grace to get through any trial and tribulation, even the death of a family member. Praise The Lord!

Thanks to all of your who left sweet comments on the tribute to my sister. I will visit all of you soon.

I'm also linking to Rhoda's Porch Party. Click on her name for lots more.

Katherine, every time I have seen your name on my dashboard or sideboard, I have thought of you and wondered how you were. I know this has been such a painful loss. I think the trips to see your children and grandchildren were just what the Great Physician ordered.

I love your porch and am inspired by the sign. I pinned it, in fact!

Katherine, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My heart goes out to you. Glad you are safely home again. We had a porch swing for many years. I would swing and nap for hours. Once we did a remodel there wasn't space for it.
Miss it!

Hi darling, I'm so sorry for you loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I know the diversion of the grandchildren helped heal the heart. There is no place like home. I know you're going to enjoy your porch. hugs ~lynne~

Family visits are nice, but there is no place like home. Your porch looks like such a peaceful, relaxing place to be.

So sorry to hear of the loss of your sister.

Oh I can see why you would love to meditate in such a lovely spot beside the still waters. Glad you're back save and sound.
