Tabletop Tuesday

I am excited that Barb, Grits and Glamour, is starting Tabletop Tuesday! Creating vignettes is my most favorite of decorating, especially with using items already in the house! Thanks, Barb, for this fun idea for a new meme. Go here for lots of tabletop inspiration.

I was happy to see that the tabletops will include tops of hutches, armoires, and china cabinets! I have a new vignette on top of our family room tv armoire. I have never tired of using my vintage luggage atop the armoire. This time I added a globe, and two mini cameras.

I've been slow with redoing the vignettes in our house since we removed the Christmas decor because of the recent sickness and death of a member of our family.

Above is the top of the doll curio cabinet in the family room.

Below: I used a similar vignette like this on our family room coffee table for Christmas, but had a Nativity Scene inside. I took the Nativity out and added these two musical figurines, and changed the books to Thomas Kinkade books.

I wasn't ready to remove this deer vignette on top of our dining room china cabinet, and since it isn't real Christmasy looking I'm leaving it up a while longer.

I hope to have many more new tabletop vignettes in the weeks to come. Thanks, Barb, for hosting Tabletop Tuesday!

Have a happy day!
God Bless.

Katherine

I love that "planter"?? You can do so many displays in that. Each one of your vignettes is so pretty...but they always are!

Katherine,
You are so creative, I have vintage luggage, but mine has never looked that good in a vignette, thats the reason you never see it. Love the planter vignette.

Katherine, Glad you made it home safe & sound.
Love how you have decorated and especially the use of the bird cage. I have one very almost like it & love to put birds or other animals in it throughout the year.I like your idea on the figurines.

Katherine, I love the two figurines that are playing music. It brought memories of visiting the gardens at the Biltmore. In their atrium they had musicians playing lovely classical music and as soon as I say your sweet vignette it reminded me of that. Kathysue

Hi Katherine...

Ohhh...I love your old vintage luggage atop your armoire...love that look! I think the globe and vintage cameras are a great addition to that pretty vignette! Was just wondering...the one suitcase that is odd shaped...was is used for something special? Just thought the shape was very unique...love it! I also really like your pretty glass terrerium...I remember the beautiful nativity that you had in at Christmas...it was gorgeous! It's always a sad time for me...to have to put the Christmas away...but you certainly found pretty items to replace the nativity! Love your deer too...what a pretty vignette!!! Thank you for sharing more of your beautiful home with us, my friend! I really enjoyed all of your lovely vignettes!!! I'm so sorry to hear that there has been illness and a death in your family...prayers sent your way, Katherine!!!

Warmest winter wishes,
