Back to Disney World again!

We went back to Disney World yesterday! We've had season tickets and they ended yesterday, so we took advantage of a warm day (finally!) here in FL and went back to Disney World one last time.
Mickey Mouse in his safari clothes

We chose to go to Animal Kingdom because we've been to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot recently.

I love going to the Lion King Festival with all the beautiful festive fun music, dancing, etc.

(Sorry the Lion King is blurry, my camera was on the wrong setting!)

The monkey's acrobatics (above)

She flew all around high above us.
She looks like she is standing on his hand, but isn't!

I don't know how those people walk on those high stilts!

My next favorite thing is the Lion King parade!!
Mickey is there too!
Minnie's there in her red polka dot jeep!

We had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe there at Animal Kingdom, the decor is fabulous:
About every 10 or 15 minutes the animals start moving
and making lots of noises!

Our table was next to this waterfall!

My Joe

Joe's son and me, we are anxiously awaiting our huge Volcano chocolate dessert!

The Volcano dessert:
The Volcano has three slices of chocolate cake, two big scoops ice cream, chocolate sauce and has a "sparkler on top!" It is delicious! (It should be, it costs $15! JJ works there and gets the food for half price, or we wouldn't get it, and you need more than two people to eat it!)

We didn't go to the bar, but the bar stools are so cute I wanted to show them to you:
How cute is that?
Have you ever been to Animal Kingdom at Disney World? We enjoy it there.

Disney World was a wonderful way to get in a better mood after the hectic last few months, and the sadness of Joe's sister passing away.

We also have a special day Sunday as it is our anniversary! We actually have two anniversaries, we had one civil wedding in January and a church wedding in April! I will explain about that later and show pictures.

Have a happy day!
God Bless.

Katherine

I loved the Rainforest Cafe...we used to go to the one in KC but it is now gone...one week it was there and the next it wasn't! It was fun to watch little kids when the animals became animated.
Have a great weekend!

My grandchildren used to choose the Rainforest Cafe here in KC for birthday lunch butbut it is no longer open. That dessert looks delish but oh so many calories.

That looks like so much fun! I haven't been to that park. It looks interesting, though. Those stools are too cute.
Glad you had a day to relax and enjoy yourself and time with JJ, too.

Happy Anniversary!

We go to Disney World each year and we have stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (both Jamba House and Kidani), that is where we bought our Disney Vacation Club home membership. IT IS THE BEST!!

Sounds like you really enjoyed yourselves and sounds like you really needed it too.

I have something for you on my Sunday (1/17) post if you get a chance to stop by.

All the best,
Eileen
