Nativitiy at Disney World

We were so happy to see this large Nativity scene at Disney World! It was at Hollywood Studios park, where the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Christmas lights are featured. See here:
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/parks/hollywood-studios/special-events/osborne-family-spectacle-of-dancing-lights/

A close-up of the Nativity. I think it was by Fontani from Italy.

The millions of Christmas lights were donated to Disney World by the Osborne family in Little Rock, AR. The lights used to be on the houses (used in TV shows) years ago, now they are on the businesses since the "backlot" and the houses are no longer there.

Loud Christmas music was playing, fake "snow" was falling, it was an exciting time!

All of these lights were at the Hollywood Studios park.

We went to Magic Kingdom park the first day. The lamp posts were decorated with these Mickey "ears" wreaths.
We stayed till dark. At dusk the Cinderella castle was pink!
Elisabeth's favorite color is pink, so she was delighted!!

At 6:15 they had a special lighting of Cinderella's castle. It was gorgeous!
So many tiny lights, the castle looks frosted!
Joe took these pictures of the castle at a distance, from Main Street.

The second day we went to Epcot.
Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto topiaries were decorated for Christmas!
We also stayed for the spectacular Epcot fireworks and laser show at 9:30 p.m.
(None of the pictures turned out very good.)

The very, very tall Christmas tree at Epcot! It had an angel on top!
Can you see the people at the bottom? This shows just how tall it is!

Peace on earth
Good will to man

Have a wonderful Christmas!
God Bless.

Katherine

What a fantastic place that must be at Christmas time, honey! I've never been to the one in Florida, but the one in California is just spectacular also. Beautiful...especially the "frosted" castle.

Thanks so much for sharing this! It's really beautiful!
We were happily surprised to see a big Nativity display at Downtown Disney when we were there last year. I love that they acknowledge the Reason for Season!
Enjoy!
All the best to you,
Eileen

That was me in the previous post...calling you Elizabeth for some reason! lol I so enjoyed looking at the photos you took at Disney, such a magical place to be, especially at this time of year. It boggles the mind at how many Christmas lights there are!

Merry Christmas to you and yours, dear Katherine and may all your wishes come true during this magical season. xoxo
