Purple Fall Challenge

I always enjoy joining Cuisine Kathleen's monthly challenges. This month she challenged us to
do a fall tablescape using PURPLE and NO orange!

I have the ruffled purple plates purchased from Walmart a few years ago, but that's the only thing purple I had!  I decided to pair them with lime green since I have the pretty petal shaped green salad plates. These were from Marshall's several years ago.

I wrapped flocked faux fall leaves around green napkins:
and added green glasses and clear flatware:

I had to buy some purple silk flowers. These were 50% off at Michael's:

The purple berries were in the Halloween aisle at Dollar Tree:

I also tucked some of the faux fall leaves among the flowers and berries

There you have it! No orange!

The red on the faux leaves are really a wine color (not this bright.)

Purple and green tablescape!

I wish the purple color of the plates showed up the true purple!

 Here's a place for you!

I'm happy the faux flowers show their true purple color!

I'm also linking to Susan's Tablescape Thursday, click on her name for lots more inspiration.

 Thanks for stopping by!

Your combo of purple and green is beautiful, and the centerpiece you made is truly stunning. Lovely table for the "no orange" challenge. :)

Love the purple and greens together they went very well and you don't see any red in the pics at all I wish all stores like Walmart carried the same items If they had ever carried these purple plates you can bet they would have been thrown in my cart real fast.Susie

Guess we were thinking alike this week, Katherine...the frilly BHG plates work well for fall. I have them in orange, too...wish I had bought the white when they were available.
I love your green and purple table. You always have such pretty floral centerpieces. Do you make them yourself? I am not real good at arranging flowers.
Have a wonderful week.

I really love your color combination of purple and green. All the colors just pop together. And I love your dishes: the ruffled purple and also your green plates. You really succeeded at Kathleen's challenge. Bravo!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

You did it! I love the way this one turned out. I tried to do a table, but about noon on Monday, I decided that I was going to give up. Nothing that I did looked right with the only dishes that fit the bill. I finally decided that it just wasn't fun to me to work with purple and tossed up the hands.

I LOVE your dishes. They just *make* the table. Had I had something like this, I could have gotten jazzed about the challenge.

Kind of bummed that I didn't join. I love the challenges.

Excellent job! The green is a wonderful accent with the purple. Your centerpiece came out very pretty. Purple isn't something I own much of either...I think we all scratched our heads a bit to get this challenge met!

Hi, Katherine! I hope true fall has come a'callin' in Texas! We are happy to report a chill in the air here with lots of color, although it's not as rich as in years past. Must be the result of a drier than usual summer.

You made a really good creative decision in pairing purple with green! They work so well together (just think now nature gives us deep purple grapes and plums and berries with fabulous green leaves!), and the lighter green color allows the purple to radiate without getting lost.

I like how the leaves on the napkins carry out from the centerpiece. Very nice!

Have a relaxing weekend, and enjoy the beauty of the season! Hi to Joe!
