I always like to join Kathleen's Irish Blog Crawl every year. Click on her name for lots more fun! I'm also joining Susan's Tablescape Thursday. Click on her name for lots of inspiration.
Inspiration for this tablescape came from these "eyeglasses:"
As soon as I saw them at the Dollar Tree I knew what I would do with them!
I snapped the handles off and broke them at the bridge area.
Like this:
Perfect for this!
For the centerpiece
I used this terrarium
and placed these cute little Irish dancing figurines inside:
How cute are they! Makes you want to dance, huh?!
I used double napkins, one white and one green
I also used two tablecloths, a white Battenburg over solid green
The crystal look flatware is from Ross, the "crystal" goblets from Dollar Tree
The white plates are also from Dollar Tree and the green chargers from Target.
The faux shamrocks and carnations decorate the top of the terrarium and make a garland on each side.
Birds eye view!
My St. Patrick's Day tablescape

Happy St. Patrick's Day ya'll!

What a clever idea for the napkin rings, Katherine! I love your terrarium, too, especially all decked out with your Irish figurines. Happy St, Paddy's Day!
Katherine,
What an adorable table! Love your terrarium. I bought one a while back and haven't done a tablescape yet. I love what you did with yours. And I love your napkin rings. Very clever.

Katherine.. oh what a vision you have. I am in awe, the napkin rings turned out grand. Such a pretty table. Elegant and refined. Love the centerpiece, but the star is the battenburg. Wishing you a very Happy St. Patrick's and may all the Irish blessings come your way! xo marlis
Way to go, Katherine! It's amazing where we can draw inspiration, isn't it?!! I know some people turn their nose up at the Dollar Tree, but I LOVE that place!!!!!!! I hate to admit this, but I was watching "Celebrity Wife Swap" last night, and one of the wives went to a dollar store for the first time and was so thrilled she bought $200 worth of stuff!!!! I laughed and laughed! I hope you have a wonderful and safe St. Patrick's Day weekend!
Katherine, You are so clever!! I was trying to guess what you had in mind, but never would I have come up with these napkin rings! You could be in one of those Design Star shows where they give the decorators strange things and expect them to be creative!!! Your napkin rings look just like little leprechaun hats. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you! Linda
What a wonderful tablescape! I love the dancy colleens in the glass house. Very pretty!

Katherine, you really think out of the box. What a clever use of these eye glasses. Your table in its green and white splendor is perfect. Happy St. Patrick's Day! ~ Sarah
Katherine,
Thanks so much for coming by. No, I don't have a subscribe, but I will come visiting again when I start blogging again. This is the first post I've done in a bit. I really did it for closure, and his mother reads my blog. So I wanted her to see that people are praying for them if she dropped by. It's been SO hard. Prayers are getting us through.
XO,
Sheila
So pretty! I really love the centerpiece -- so unusual and it really draws the eye.
What a great table. The $ Tree is really the source for all tablescape inspiration. Visiting from the St. Paddy's blog crawl. xo
Beautiful table, Katherine...love the centerpiece, those little Irish lass and lassies are adorable!
Yes, green is my favorite color...I sure am giddy with so much this week!
Love the terrarium. My hubby bought me one a while back and it is quite versatile. I love what you did with yours. Happy St. Patrick's Day.
Love the creativity of starting with the glasses! Just a lovely table.
That is such a cute way to make the napkin rings. As always, your table is so beautiful.
xo rachel
Ohhh, your St Pat's table is so pretty. Love your napkin idea, very creative!!! Everything looks so lovely all in green on the white batten-burg lace tablecloth.
Janet
OK, the DIY shamrock napkin rings you made are just plain inspired. I love stuff like that. I guess I'm just an out of the box kind of person.
It all looks great, and I'm GREEN with envy that you had a St. Pat's table. I didn't really do one this year.
