Beach Theme

I'm joining Kathleen's Let's Dish beach theme party! Click on her name for lots more inspiration!

My inspiration for the beach them came from these salad plates.
I bought them at Beall's several years ago. I think Beall's is a FL based store and they always have lots of tropical things. There's plates each with with a different beach cottage on them.

I loved the plates because they remind me of the little cottages we saw at Captiva Island and the Keys, when we were there! I can't begin to choose a favorite color or style! Can you?

I placed them on bright colored chargers with bold colored placemats, all in contrasting colors.

The centerpiece is a white doll sized Adirondack chair, filled with hibiscus flowers.
Fake palm trees are on either side:

Those fake foil trees came from Dollar Tree.
These little sandpiper birds also came from Dollar Tree:
I love watching the little sandpipers scurrying around so fast on the beach!
That pink flamingo also came from Dollar Tree!
A Florida tablescape should always have a pink flamingo!
How cute is this one with the "flotation device!"
Seashells are scattered along the centerpiece:

I used white napkins to match the white adirondack chair:
The napkin rings are made of shells. I think these have a fancy name, but I can't think of it right now! I found them at an estate sale a couple of years ago. I tucked a silk hibiscus bloom into the napkin rings:
The shell napkin rings show up better on the white.

The hibiscus blooms make them pop!
I had a lot of fun putting this one together, and it was very inexpensive!

The lime green tumblers came from Home Goods a few years ago.

Do you have a favorite color combination? Favorite cottage?

The colors in this tablescape are very cheerful, we are enjoying seeing it daily!
I hope you enjoy it too!

I'm also linking to Susan's Tablescape Thursday, and The Style Sisters Centerpiece Wednesday. Thanks for hosting, ladies! Click on their names for lots of inspiration!

Thanks for visiting!

Happy Summer!
Katherine

Katherine, I would NOT have been able to pass up those adorable beach cottage plates, either! Don't you just want to move in to any one of the darling cottages? Thank you for showing us close-ups of each one. Love the little Adirondack chair as a centerpiece! And thank you for your kind comments on my table this week.

The cottage plates are my favorite part of all and are the perfect plate to give the tropical table the Florida coast feeling. I love the way you used them against different colored chargers and place mats too. The flamingo in the inner tube made me giggle.

I love Bealls. We have one here.

And I hope you're doing OK. Haven't forgotten what you've been through.

GREAT dishes, Katherine!!! Wow! I remember seeing the little vacation cottages when we visited, and I admired the uniqueness of each one on the row. I like how you played that up with the use of various colored dinner plates and placemats for each setting. Very nice!!! I'm sure this really takes you back to Florida, doesn't it? Enjoy a sunny weekend!!!

O Katherine, It makes me so homesick for Fla. I haven't lived in Florida since being a child and then again in my early 20's but boy do these plates ever remind me of old Bradenton where I'm from. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane.

I love those beach cottage plates. The cottages remind me of some that I saw in the Bahamas on a long ago trip. And there were many blooming hibiscus plants there. Those napkins look so pretty with the hibiscus tucked inside.
