Spring in FL

I'm joining Allison at The Polohouse for Favorites on the First. This month the theme is Door Decor. I have a spring bouquet on our yellow front door, but the real scene stealer is this bouganvilla on the arbor above the courtyard next to our front door:
It is growing beautifully since we had no freeze this past winter to kill it!

Bouganvilla is so lovely, but has long thorns that hurt badly when you try to trim it!!

The picture below is taken through the front door screen. This is the view I see when sitting at the computer looking out the front door!

Here's the view from the dining room window looking outside:

Happy May Day!
Thanks for hosting, Allison! Click on her name for lots more inspiration!

I love the basket of flowers on the front door. I have decided that I really want to do that here to step out of my wreath box once in a while. And I'm with you completely that your arbor is gorgeous and a show stopper!! I love bouganvilla anyway, and the sight of it draping and making a little welcome canopy is stunning.

Pink is my favorite color, and THAT particular shade of pink is my favorite shade. Win... Win.

Hi Katherine!

You are just too sweet.... putting the linky party button on your sidebar AND for the sweet mentions in your post! Thanks you!

Your front door arrangement looks terrific. Your bouganvilla is fabulous.Oh how I wish I could grow it up here in Illinois. That hot pink color is my most favorite color for flowers.

So dramatic!

You home looks so pretty. Such great curb appeal.
Thanks for sharing with us, Katherine!

Hi Katherine,
Your bougainvillea is just gorgeous! I have only tried to grow it once, and that was years ago. I've been inspired by seeing yours so I may try it again this year. Love your basket of flowers on the door, too!
