I'm back!

Hi!
I've been MIA again, life seems to get in the way of my blogging lately. I've missed keeping up with your blogs and need to catch up on what everybody has been up to.

I'll share a few fun things I've been keeping busy with during May. I went to our women's club annual tea party. It's so fun to dress up and create a hat to wear.

I decorated this floppy black canvas hat with a yellow rose and the black and white polka dot ribbon. I wore a bright yellow eyelet jacket with a white shell and black pants. I won the contest two years ago (in my black Victorian dress) and don't compete anymore.

I celebrated my birthday a few days later, but on the exact day of my birthday my husband had cataract surgery! The doctor only does surgery on Thursdays and it happened to fall on my birthday, but we went out on the following weekend. I've also been busy with putting drops in his eyes three times a day for weeks as he had both eyes done, two weeks apart! He is doing fine and now has 20/20 vision!

We had celebrated our anniversary here

a few weeks earlier and spent a few days there out of state, so I didn't need another trip so soon, plus we went on another trip this past weekend. We went to Tallahassee for a few days to celebrate my grandson's high school graduation. We are so proud of him graduating Magna Cum Laude!! Pardon this grandma's bragging!

Here I am with Tanner, he's over six feet tall!
Tanner will be going away to college soon! We're hoping he'll enjoy being there as much as his brother did!

I'm feeling much better with no new recurrence so far, I go to the doctor in a couple of weeks for another ex-ray to see. Exercise helps and I'm doing yoga, Curves, and Zumba now!

I hope to visit you soon and see what is going on with you!

Added note 6-8-11: We went to Mayo Clinic yesterday for Joe's annual check-up with his oncologist. The doctor declared him cancer free! It's been five years since he was diagnosed. He said that type lymphoma usually returns within three years and since it hasn't he thinks he is healed of it!! PTL!! We feel he was healed at the healing services we attended and because of of the prayers of our friends and family! We are praising the Lord for His Goodness! He has to continue to go to Mayo because of his anemia and iron problem. They did another blood test on him today to analyze this. Please continue to pray. Thanks to all for your prayers!!!! God is Good!
Praising the Lord!
Katherine

This is just wonderful news and I'm rejoicing right along with you!!! I am also happy to hear that your husband's cataract surgery was a success! Another PTL!!!

Many congratulations to you and your family on your grandson's high school graduation! What a handsome and talented young man your Tanner must be! You have every right to BRAG!!! Best wishes to Tanner!!!

Katherine, I'm so relieved to hear that your DH had such a good report. PTL!

I adore your hat, too, and I think it is the perfect girly accessory. Just lovely.

Thanks for your sweet comments. I am still battling this old injury which makes it painful to blog. Taking it one day at a time. Your prayers and comments mean so much, and I thank you for both.

XO,

Sheila
