Tablescape Thursday

Tablescape Thursday Time! Thanks to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for hosting so we can play with our dishes! Click on her name for lots more inspiration.

Inspiration for this tablescape came from my candy corn cups (above) and centerpiece, below:
More inspiration came from this new (for me) tablecloth below. I bought it for $3 at an estate sale (more about the estate sale in a few days.)
I love the pointed edge on the vintage tablecloth.
I used my Dollar Tree white plates and the napkins (towels) I found last week at Target for $2.50 for two.

After taking lots of pictures I realized I had forgotten to use the real candy corn that I bought just for this tablescape! By the time I took more pictures with the candy it was getting dark so the pictures aren't as good.

I also was going to use these yellow and white ramekins (from Dollar Tree) but decided I like it better without them.

Which do you like best? With, or without?

The yellow doesn't show up very much.
Filled with candy corn

The centerpiece: a Chinese food box with candy corn on it. Filled with faux fall flowers.
The big candy corn pieces above are glass!

I hope you enjoyed my candy corn tablescape!

Oh, I almost forgot! I first tried the black handled flatware, then decided I like the other best.

Have a happy day!

God Bless.

Katherine

OK, I'll get the shout out for that BEAUTIFUL tablecloth over with right at the beginning. It's stunning!! I would love it.

And the rest of it is just plain FUN. My husband keeps saying that he wants me to do a candy corn table... for obvious reasons.

I love the bowl filled with them for the centerpiece and all the neat matching things.

I vote for the napkin without the bowl, but both are nice.

Katherine! Look at that cloth! I can't believe you found it for $3!
What a steal! And I love candy corn. I like cute Halloween decorations, and there is nothing cuter than candy corn to me... well, maybe scarecrows. Love those, too, and squirrels. ;-) I have been wild over Sue's blog dress which is covered in candy corn.

Is that centerpiece filled with candy corn, or is it decorated with candy corn? I looked at it twice to fiture it out, and it looks to be decorated. And I love what you found at Tarjay and Dollar Tree!

I did pink this week. My MIL's 80th Birthday party.

Happy Tablescape Thursday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Your tablecloth is beautiful. Can't wait to see what else you found at the estate sale. I like both ways--with and without the extra dishes. Happy Halloween! Linda

Hi Katherine...

Okay...I love candy corn! You could sit me at this pretty table and you wouldn't even have to feed me...as long as all that yummy candy corn was there! Hehe! The little candy corn cups are just adorable! Oh, and I like that pretty yellow ramekin in the place setting...but I love lots of layers! The autumn mums that you used for the centerpiece are sooo pretty! A beautiful table, Katherine...and so much fun too! Thank you for sharing it with us for TT this week!

Warmest autumn wishes,

What a cute table! I thought the centerpiece was a glass vase filled with candycorn until you told us it was a printed box! You really have some darling candycorn-themed pieces!

Hi Katherine,

So cheerful, colorful, and FUN! My mother always put candy corn on her cupcakes for trick-or-treaters (back when people could actually treat the children to homemade goodies), so your post tugs at my heart. I always enjoy visiting Yellow Rose Arbor!

Love the tablecloth! Can't wait to hear more about the estate sale!

Have a great weekend!

This is a delightful table...candy corn is one thing I looked for each fall. However, with my diabetes diagnosis, I can't have it anymore....But the memories are sweet...
