It's been a while since I have participated in Susan's Tablescape Thursday and I have missed it.
I'm in the mood for something light and airy, and I'm in the mood for a tea party, so today I set our dining room table for a summer tea party.

Inspiration for my yellow tea party came from this pretty vase.
While visiting my sister she gave me some treasures in her china cabinet. She likes to give me yellow things because she knows how much I love yellow! This vase was given to her by a special person in her life who has passed on, so when she gave it to me I knew it was a treasure indeed.
She also gave me these pretty ruffled bowls.
I'm also using some pieces of my yellow depression glass collection in this tablescape.
This frosted dish is much prettier than it looks here.
I filled the vase full of faux daisies and yellow roses for the centerpiece,
then I remembered I had purchased this yellow glass candlestick at Home Goods a few months ago.
A little yellow depression glass star shaped dish completes it.
I couldn't decide whether to use this flatware,
or this one, I decided on this one:
The napkins are from my yellow rose vintage hankie collection. I usually include white paper napkins inside them to protect from lipstick on the hankies!
Which is your favorite?
The ceramic napkin rings have tiny yellow roses painted on them.
I'm enjoying the light and airy look to this tablescape!

These dishes will hold
this lemon frozen dessert:
Frozen Lemonade Dessert
Mix: 1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade
1 can Eagle Brand milk
9 oz. container Cool Whip
Crush ginger snaps, graham crackers,
or Oreos and spread into bottom of
9x13 pan.
Pour lemon mixture over top of crumbs.
Freeze.
Spoon into dessert dishes. Top with
berries if desired.
Enjoy!

I'm so glad you're back! As I glanced through Susan's list of participants with thumbnail views, I saw the yellow roses and focused on your link immediately. Your yellow Depression glass is lovely. I enjoyed seeing your collection of yellow rose hankies and loved the tip about folding a paper napkin inside when you use them in a table setting.
It's kind of your sister to share her beautiful yellow treasures with you. I can't wait to see how you use that pretty vase with the golden ruffled edges!

Katherine, I always look forward to your posts, because not only are your tables gorgeous, but I learn a lot! LOVE those ruffled bowls, and I have not seen yellow Depression glass. It makes a lovely table. I also enjoyed seeing your hankies, as I inherited my grandmother's hanky box filled with her special collection.

What gorgeous yellows you have on this table! The lace tablecloth is such a nice backdrop for all of the luscious yellow accents. Those ruffle bowls remind me of my mother. She has about 25 of them in clear. I really adore your hanky napkins. They look fantastic. Thanks for sharing and happy TT to you!
Katherine, what a lovely table you made. This yellow depression glass looks so wonderfull. And I love the yellow chargers with the polka dots. Have you seen my yellow table last week? It was really made with roses of my yellow rose arbor. Yellow is so crisp and fresh.

Katherine, So, so pretty! First I want to say I love all your hankies, but the first one has my heart. I love hankies, and I just love you use a paper napkin with them for the lipstick! Yeah! Great idea! The vase is beautiful! The ruffled dishes so darling! I know you just love them. I love all your depression glass. The tablecloth helps bring out all the yellow color. All that yellow is so bright and light. I just saw a yellow flowered tea pot at the flea market today that I wish you could have. It was hard to leave it there on the shelf...but I was already toting home a Winner Pooh one!
