Tablescape Thursday

Thursday is our fun tablescape day! Thanks, Susan, for hosting for us! Go here for lots more inspiration.

Today I'm doing an encore of a past tablescape. I think this is the most favorite tablescape I've done this past year. I first joined Susan's Tablescape Thursday a year ago this month. I went back and counted how many tablescapes I have done and it is 47! (Well, that was including three Christmas in July tablescapes.) I wish I had numbered them from the beginning. The actual date of my first one was April 9, 2009 and I had planned to re-post my first TT, but since it was an Easter tablescape I decided to do one of my favorites. Above is the centerpiece of the tablescape I named "Cameo Appearance."

Inspiration for this Cameo Appearance tablescape started with this cameo votive holder above, it came from Dollar Tree.

I also have a collection of cameo pins, earrings, etc (a few are displayed on the mirror above.)
I had the cute frame from back in the 60s. I looked online for a cameo picture and was elated to find the little oval picture that fit perfectly in the little frame!

Each place setting had a napkin folded like a fan and different cameo pins on each "fan"

I was very pleased with the outcome!

The black chargers were on sale at Hobby Lobby.
The little vintage crystal-look sherbets were on sale at Ross.

I think this is one of my most favorites because it is a little more creative than usual.

Which is your favorite cameo?

I hope you enjoyed seeing this tablescape again, or for the first time!

If you have been following my blog this past year and remember
some of my tablescapes, can you tell me which was a favorite of yours?

It all started with this votive!
I hope to use these again some day if
I can come up with something else different!

A place for you!

Have a happy day!
God Bless.

Katherine

Beautiful table! I only recently joined TT a few months ago, so this is my first time seeing this one.
I love the cameo pins used as napkin holders and the crochet table cloth is so beautiful. I love to see crocheted table cloths being used! They are so elegant.

Katherine~ what a beautiful tablescape this would be for Mothers Day. The cameo pins made a very clever napkin ring. Not to mention how it added to the whole ambiance.

I do love your classy red, black and white with the monograms setting. Although...I'm still grinning over your sweet (ceramic) birdie in red tennies!

Sweet wishes,
Sara

Love looking at your cameo pin collection. Really like the diamond shaped one. I just saw a cameo bracelet featured in Country Living magazine this month that was gorgeous. Makes me want to collect them (I'm sure my husband will be thanking you for that! LOL!).

How creative of you to use your cameos for a tablescape. I love the little picture frame. I enjoy all your tablescapes--but one question--where do you store all your dishes, accessories, napkins, flatware, glassware etc? BTW--are you trying to make me forget your cutwork tablecloth with that beautiful crochet one? I'm am seriously envious of your table linens!!!!

Encore! Encore! Take a bow. I love cameos and this is as beautiful as it is creative -- I can certainly see why it would be a favorite. My husband just last week found his mother's cameo while cleaning out his Dad's home and brought it home to me -- so precious and beautiful.

I remember this one. I tend to like the more elegant ones. My favorite color being red, those that use red are especially beautiful.

Thanks for reposting this special table -- I've only been following this blog for a few months. I can see why it's your favorite! So many special touches, with the jewelry and "fans" and lacy tablecloth! And you kept the dishes simple -- lovely!

How very creative. Isn't it amazing how one small piece can start our creative process. The use of cameo pins for napkin rings is wonderful. Do I get to pick the one where I sit. Glad you reposted. Stella

Thanks for your sweet comments -- yes my chargers are clear glass with the gold rims - so they always "match" my tablecloth!

Katherine, this is SO creative! I enjoyed seeing all of your cameos in this 'scape.

I adore cameos, too. My father gave me one for my 16th birthday which I cherish, and I have loved them ever since.

I've snuck away from my workmen to blog for last night and this morning, and I wanted to be sure and get by and say, "Hi." Hope to be back to blogging soon, depending on them! ;-)

Have a great weekend...

XO,

Sheila :-)

I adore cameos and I love what you have done with your tablescape by incorporating them, it's lovely.
You mentioned that you are approaching 70.....you're gonna love it. It's like being a kid again, everyone wants to help you from the grocery bag man to hauling out your groceries to your grandkids that want to help you learn how to opperate your cell phone or your computer. What is amazing is that they (the kids) all know how all the electronic things work. It saves us having to go back to school.
Funny how you feel like your 20 but somehow the body is stubborn, but it's o.k. there are lots of us out there that understand.
So glad you visited my blog please come back soon.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
