Tablescape Thursday

I'm happy to be back with Tablescape Thursday! Thanks to Susan for hosting! Go here for lots more fun and inspiration.

Inspiration for my tablescape this week came from these cute little chick bowls.
I found these little bowls at Michael's for only 99 cents each! Couldn't resist them! I also have a small collection of egg cups shaped like baby chicks, so I'm coordinating the two in this tablescape!

I also have this little egg plate with a little chick on it:

This is another inexpensive tablescape as I used the yellow napkins and tablecloth I've had for years. I used the yellow handled flatware I've had for about 12 years. The crystal I've had for years, I think it was purchased from Ross.

I'll give directions for folding these wallet shaped napkins at the end. I bought the tiny chicks used on top of the napkins a couple years ago at Hobby Lobby.

The centerpiece:

You may recognize the basket shaped vase, I used it recently with shamrocks. I bought it last year at Hobby Lobby.
I did buy this little boy-girl figurine at Home Goods recently. They are so cute, holding tiny baby chicks and putting them in the little rabbit pulled cart!

Two other little chicks are on either side of the vase. A cute little chick in overalls pulling a rose covered cart.
I bought this little egg cup at Hobby Lobby a couple years ago.

This little peep in an egg cart is holding an umbrella. I bought it at Michael's recently, it was 40% off, as was the little one below. They all have glitter on them.

This one is at the back of the centerpiece.

I have been collecting a few egg cups for several years, after a friend got me started when she gave me this one:
How cute is that with those little duck slippers on it's feet!

For the tablescape I used foiled wrapped Lindt chicken
shaped chocolates in the egg cups:
See the little chicken feet on the outside of the bowl!

There's a different chicken egg cup at each place setting:
This little yellow chick may have come from Walmart or Target (I've forgotten!)
I've also forgotten where this little purple polka dot egg cup came from:

This one is trimmed in purple:

I hope you enjoyed my baby chicken tablescape!

Next week I will share my bunny egg cup tablescape!
Which is your favorite egg cup?

and don't forget this one:

A special place for you:

What would you like served in this cute little bowl?
Maybe this could be an Easter brunch with scrambled eggs in the bowls?
Any other suggestions?

As promised --
Directions for folding a napkin into a wallet shape:
1) Fold a 12x12 napkin into a triangle

2) Fold the two bottom points in toward the center

3) Fold the bottom up toward the top.
4) Then fold the point down over, like this:

5) I placed mine vertically with a tiny resin chicken on top of the point:

Ta-da!! Easy!

Thanks, Susan, for hosting!

Have a Happy Easter!
God Bless.

Katherine

Be sure to come back next week to see my bunny egg cups in a bunny tablescape!

That is so cute! I love them all but the duck slippers caught my eye!

Now if it is brunch a little fruit salad or ambrosia in those dishes, or carrot salad or cole slaw if it is dinner.
Can't wait to see your next one!

I don't own a single egg cup. :(
I am going to have to remedy that situation real soon. Yours are SO CUTE!
