Tablescape Thursday

Tablescape Thursday! Time for another fun day sharing pretty tablescapes with our tablescaping friends! Thanks to Susan for hosting, go here to see many more!

I wanted to use these spring green petal salad plates and tablecloth for a St. Patrick's Day tablescape, but was a little concerned that it isn't the Irish kelly green.

When I found these faux shamrocks at Michael's for 66 cents each, I knew they would tie it all together. These shamrocks match the plates and tablecloth very nicely!

Some of the shamrocks have a little glitter on them.
I found the ceramic basket at a craft show about 15 years ago.

The artist crafted the 3-D roses on all the items she was selling. I fell in love with them!

I decided to make this a shamrock tea party and use the pretty tea cups.
I always offer water in goblets, mainly because of our warm FL weather.

These are Dollar Tree "crystal" goblets!

I've had these sheer white napkins a long time. Those aren't shamrocks, but there's a three-leaf stem on them!

The napkin rings are faux crystal

I'm loving using the inexpensive "crystal-look" flatware.

Shall I place the napkins on top of the plates, or not?

I think I like them better without.

I usually always layer my tablecloths.

I also placed this little crystal bird beside the centerpiece.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Shamrock Tea Party tablescape, won't you join us here:
Bring a friend!

May your life always be like a teapot –

Overflowing to warm the soul. Irish Blessing

Have a wonderful day!
God Bless.

Katherine

We are going on Spring Break, but are taking the laptop (and visiting family) and I hope to do a couple of posts while we're gone!

I love the green and white. Love the unusual shape of the green plate. I need to find some white plates with the cut out border. I love those.

How pretty! I love a green and white combination - so soothing to me. Love how you layered the tablecloths so that sweet little "petticoat" shows! That basket is so pretty - I bet you find many ways to use it on your pretty tables. Have a wonderful Spring break!

Katherine, this is just gorgeous. I love the tablecloth and plate that match so perfectly. The salad plate is such a beautiful shape. Your rose bowl is so pretty with the green inside. What a lovely find. The crystal flatware and napkins rings are so pretty. I don't think I've seen those before, but I love them. As always, just gorgeous. Hugs, Marty

Love the little shamrocks...I'll have to stop at Michaels too and see if they have some here. I really like the way you layered your tablecloth too and I love the color of green. Very elegant and pretty!

Hi Katherine,

Your green salad plates are beautiful and very unusual. I was pleasantly surprised that your pretty stemware came from Dollar Tree. That's an amazing value. I think you made the right decision not to put the napkins on the plates (they're too pretty to cover!).

The sheer napkins add an elegant touch. Nicely done!

Regards,
Bill

A very pretty table. The leaves on the napkins remind me of a branch of tea leaves; so it is perfect for a tea party. I recently saw your green glasses you shared a couple posts ago at an antique show. Did look at the price, but I knew they were the same as yours.

Oh, be still my wee little Irish ♥!
This is a perfectly elegant table for St. Patrick's Day, Katherine. Your sheer napkins are exquisite & I would never have known the stemware to be $Store...it looks beautiful!

I really, REALLY like those white cups & saucers, too. Anything with that lacey, cutwork edge calls to me.
Your rose basket is lovely, too. Wish I'd seen those faux shamrock sprigs at Michaels. They match perfectly & you can use them year after year.

fondly,
Rett

ps: Ms. C is coming for a sleep-over & we're making GREEN (really lemon)cheese cake for DH's birthday. I hope to get pics of her using the ♥ shaped measuring cups & spoons. :D

Katherine, I love this tablescape! Great idea with the centerpiece, and I can't get over those Dollar store glasses. But most of all I love the tableclothes draped together- very pretty.

Katherine--Beautiful tablescape. Even though you used the green for St. Patrick's Day--it looks so "Spring" with the greens and whites. I love those napkins--gorgeous! And I'm drooling after getting a peek at that cutwork tablecloth. Have a wonderful time traveling and visiting.
